3D-prototypingRapid prototyping is nowadays a basic part of all our R&D projects. For judging the end result of a new product, it is inevitable to have a 3D prototype “in hand” for a go/no go decision. In our booth in IDA EXPO, we bring a basic 3D-printer, which we will demonstrate to you “live”, printing a small FlexiForce plastic 3D-object that you can take home with you. Stocked at our warehouse is a broad range of 1” galvanized tubing and solid shafts with continuous keyway in both 1’ and 1 ¼” in either galvanized or black. These products, provided in accordance to DASMA ANSI 102-2004 standards, have been widely used in the European and other world markets where they have demonstrated their reliability and quality performance for over 30 years.

Unique to the series is an 11 gauge, galvanized tube shaft with a continuous key-way. This product is well-suited for application on larger doors, heavy wooden carriage house doors or door systems where a jackshaft operator is employed. It also provides an intermediate solution for industrial doors, covering a wide range of door sizes (weights) too heavy for 12 or13 gauge tubing without moving to the more expensive solid shaft alternative. Hinges: 11Ga, 14Ga and 18GaCompare and see the difference! The need for a good quality hinge is often underestimated. For example, on heavier doors, it could easily happen that due to the load on the hinge blades, the number 5 or number 6 hinge breaks. That is why, for example, in designing our 11 gauge hinges, we made sure that the thickness is on the plus tolerance. So, thicker compared to other hinges in the market and with that of course: Stronger!

According to statistics in the USA, almost 50% of all residential burglaries happen by entering a home through the garage door. A large percentage of those burglaries simply because the home owner is leaving the door open. Another part happens by burglars getting hold of the remote control of the garage door opener (left in the car or…). The rest simply by forcing the door panels out of the track construction by using a crowbar.
