Mission
Provide a mechanism of networking information to Florida neonatal transport programs.
Establish an organization dedicated to neonatal ground and air transport services on a state and national level.
Establish protocols and benchmarking in the State of Florida for neonatal transport.
FNPTNA
Dedicated toward the networking of health care professionals involved in the transport of critically ill infants and children.
Incorporation
Incorporated as a not-for profit
organization in 1992.
Pediatrics
1991 – Initially focused on the transport of neonatal patients.
1999 – Expanded to include the transport of pediatrics patients.
Mission Continued
Make recommendations to the Florida Bureau of EMS on neonatal transport legislation.
Enhance the safety standards for neonatal transport in the State of Florida.
Starting The Organization
The FNPTNA was started in 1991 by a group of Transport Directors from All Children’s Hospital, Miami Children’s Hospital, ShandsCair at the University of Florida, and Sacred Heart Hospital.
Membership
Membership in the FNPTNA is open to physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and emergency service personnel who are involved or interested in the transport of newborns and children.

Quarterly
In conjunction with the State of Florida Bureau of EMS and other constituency groups.
Locations around the State of Florida.
Highlights
Obtained a State Matching EMS Grant Networking with transport programs
throughout the State of Florida Working with the State of Florida Bureau of
EMS Legislative changes Providing education: NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E.,
Neonatal Airway Management.
