Quick Response Training and Incumbent Worker Training connect businesses with training resources new and existing employees need to support business competitiveness and growth. Both grants contribute to a team of employees that is stronger, more valuable and prepared to help employers increase productivity and profit. Florida Training Solutions also include a host of local training initiatives provided via the CareerSource Florida network of career development professionals ready to help businesses locate and grow the skilled workforce they need to succeed.

QUICK RESPONSE TRAININGQuick Response Training allows businesses to choose what training is needed, who should provide it and how it should be delivered. This business-led program helps Florida retain and attract businesses that create new, high-wage jobs. Quick Response Training is performance-based and provides partial reimbursement for training expenses after jobs have been created or retained, and training has occurred.

“Quick Response Training funds allowed us to establish specifications and structured training programs, giving us the opportunity to train our staff on what we do and understand it from an industry perspective,” said Mike O’Leary, CEO of The Grimes Companies — a supply chain management firm providing logistics, trucking, warehousing and packaging services. “Without company-specific training, we would be just like other companies.”

NO. 1 FOR INNOVATION: Fast Company magazine named Florida the No. 1 state for innovation.

TOP THREE FOR BUSINESS: Chief Executive Magazine named Florida the No. 2 state in the nation to do business.

NO. 1 FOR TRAINING: Florida economic developers cite Quick Response Training as the No. 1 program with the largest impact on their ability to win multi-state contracts.
