• The process of changing the color of a fresh flower by placing the cut end of the stem into a dye solution, allowing time for absorption of pigment.

Stem dyed color wheels

Products needed:• 12 vases• 12 white carnations with dry stems• Stem dye/Food coloring• Masking tape for

labeling

Mix colors and Label vases• Fill vases with 3-4 inches of water-do

not fill vase• Use recipes for food coloring

provided to produce the right amount of color in the flower blooms.

• Label vases with group # and color name.

• Set aside and let flower heads absorb water.

• Check end results.
