Flume - On Top feat. T.Shirt (Official Music Video)The music video is o f combined styles–performance and animation. The artist, Flume, is denoted as famous and successful from the long shot of a crowd and himself in the beginning of the music video. The long shot allows the audience to see the crowd and the number they are however as the editing is fast-paced one cannot make out his fame completely. As his name is then centered in the music video, an active audience would denote his signature name. The typography stands the same and the designs of the two circles. It is completely alike to his other products such as his CDs or any merchandise thus the artist will have r ecognition among active fans. Throughout the video, there are many filters used denoted by the vibrant colours. This is a convention of chill-trap/electronic music and is adhered by the artist. Although as this is a performance music video too it is also the lighting that changes the colours. The pink/purple lighting or filters compliment the animated video which T.Shirt features in, playing on the foundation of warm colours such as–purple, yellow, pink and red. The lighting is synchronous to the music in terms of hitting the equilibrium as Todorov proposes. To emphasise the build-up, the lighting changes from a dark purple when the beat drops (sound is louder and a faster pace), here, there is an immediate change to a warmer colour of bright yellow.
