Who are we?

We are a group of people who like Highland Ponies. Some of us have ponies of our own, some of us ride other peoples and some of us simply enjoy being around them and their owners.

What do we do?

Everything from Social Gatherings to fun rides and shows. There are also Annual Performance Awards given for events from Happy Hacking to Unsung Hero.. We are always open to new ideas from our members.

How do we get together?

The club is arranged into regions. If you decide to join, your details will be forwarded to your area representative who will contact you to let you know what’s going on in your part of the country. We meet together annually for our AGM and share news and information with each other. We love our food, so there is always a wonderful lunch – it’s a “not to be missed” event.

Want to know more?

Please contact: Rosemary Smithat [email protected] or write to her at :16 Dovehouse Close,Godmanchester, Huntingdon, PE29 2DY

The Highland Pony Enthusiasts Club was founded in 1974 and will be celebrating it’s Ruby Anniversary in 2014 with some special eventsincluding a class for all highland ponies at Equifest.

It is open to anyone with an interest in Highland Ponies and hasactive groups in all areas of the UK.

So if you join, what benefi ts do you get as a member?

Apart from meeting a great group of like-minded people, you get to try new things out with your ponies at various clinics and meetings in your area, enjoy rides out with others and generally fi nd out more about what Highlands can do.

We also have a twice yearly magazine, published in Spring andAutumn. This contains articles about Highlands along with news andinformation about Highlands both past and present.

The magazine is produced by a small group of members who contribute by proof reading, giving feedback re content and design, writing and editing articles – new members to the team are always welcome! Most of the articles and photos are contributed by members and our editor would love to receive yours once you have joined.

There is also a regular newsletter which keeps you up to date with what’s going on in your areas and around the country.

If you wish to join, please complete the form on the opposite page and return it, along with your cheque to Mrs Rosemary Smith (address on the form)

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
