La ex fortezza sotterranea STRETTAMENTE SEGRETA una dei pi grandi ed im-ponenti impianti svizzeri dedicati alla difesa. Nelle massicce caverne dellex fortezza Sasso da Pigna sul mistico passo del Gottardo stato creato un MUSEO UNICO NEL SUO GENERE il SASSO SAN GOTTARDO. Sono presenti esposizioni dedicate alla FORTEZZA STORICA, la funicolare sotterranea Metro del Sasso e anche il settore VIVERE IL GOTTARDO dove storia e significato del Gottardo vengono presentate.

The fortress until recently classified TOP SECRET is one of the largest under-ground defensive fortifications in Switzerland. In the impressive and vastly extended caverns deep inside of the mystique Gotthard mountain originates the UNIQUE MUSEUM SASSO SAN GOTTARDO with the HISTORIC FORTRESS, the underground cable car Metro del Sasso and furthermore the GOTTHARD EXPERIENCE WORLD displaying the history and the significance of the Gotthard.

Mitte der neunziger Jahre whlte das damalige Militrdepartement acht Festungsanlagen aus, die als Denkmler von nationaler Be-deutung erhalten werden sollen. Zu ihnen zhlt auch Sasso da Pig-na, welche man heute als historische Festung besichtigen kann.

Verso la met degli anni Novanta, il Dipartimento federale militare delle fortezze decise che le fortezze dovessero diventare monumen-ti dimportanza nazionale. Tra queste anche il Sasso da Pigna che ancora oggi visitabile come fortezza storica.

In the mid-1990s the Federal Department of Defense appointed eight fortresses as monuments of national interest. One of them is Sasso da Pigna which can be visited as a historical fortress.

Whrend Jahrmillionen ist unweit des Gotthardpasses ein Schatz herangewachsen, welcher 2008 entdeckt wurde. An Grsse, Perfektion, Transparenz und Glanz sind die Riesenkristalle wohl kaum zu berbieten.

Nel corso di milioni di anni, nelle vicinanze del Passo del Gottardo cresciuto un tesoro inestimabile, scoperto e poi estratto nel 2008. La sua perfezione, dimensione, trasparenza e brillantezza di questo cristallo gigante non hanno eguali.

Close to the Gotthard pass a treasure was discovered in 2008 which had been growing for millions of years. The giant crystals are unsurpassed in size, transparency and brilliance.

Nel bel mezzo del Sasso San Gottardo stata aperta al pubblico una nuova sala espositiva dedicata alla magia dei cristalli e alla loro lavorazione in gioielli preziosi.

Located deep in the tunnels and caverns of the former Gotthard fortress is the exhibition which shows the special magic of the mountain crystal and its manufacturing into valuable jewellery.
