What DO you like about the new process? The new bins help the street look really neat on trash day. What DON'T you like about the new process?Haven't really found a major problem with this yet (other than the bin covers remain open after pickup andcould collect rain/snow).-------- ----------Ref# Overall2 YesWhat DO you like about the new process? Not having to sort my recyclables. Plus the fact that the Recycling Container is much larger than the old bins. The new containers are pretty big. I have a family of 4 and our recycling container fills up to the top while thetrash container is maybe a third full each week. What DON'T you like about the new process?Nothing-------- ----------Ref# Overall3 Yes

What DO you like about the new process?

What DON'T you like about the new process?-------- ----------Ref# Overall4 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?recycling so much easier cause we don't have to sort

also so much better to just drag 2 big barrels up than all the trash barrels and recycling bins

What DON'T you like about the new process?nothing-------- ----------Ref# Overall5 Yes

What DO you like about the new process?I like that all he recycling goes into just one can and I don't have to worry about separating everything. What DON'T you like about the new process?I don't like the fact that if it's not in the can that it just stays there. For example, this past week I had a ratherlarge box that would not fit in the can so it was broken down and put on the side of the recycle bin. However, after everything was picked up the box remained behind. Sometimes we are going to have things that aren'tgoing to fit. These items should still be taken so long as they are on the street.-------- ----------Ref# Overall6 Yes

What DO you like about the new process?I like the new cans. they are sturdy and large. What DON'T you like about the new process?the one can limit is a bit restricting. Sometimes things happen and you have a large item to throw out that is toomuch for a single garbage can.-------- ----------Ref# Overall7 Yes

What DO you like about the new process?I like how curbs look on trash day...clean....What DON'T you like about the new process? What i don't like is that for what we pay for our trash they want us to pay for an extra bag or buy anotherbin..that is crazy. We just had a huge family gathering and had to ask our neighbors if we could drop 2 bags intheirs.bins. Wish I could of brought it to the dump but out of luck....-------- ----------Ref# Overall8 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?Single stream recyclingWhat DON'T you like about the new process?Nothing. Although they need to educate others better about the correct spacing between bins... perhaps a stickercampaign on the trash cans that are not far enough apart...-------- ----------

Ref# Overall9 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?Putting ALL recycling into one binNew barrels - my old ones were on their last legsWhat DON'T you like about the new process?-------- ----------Ref# Overall10 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?

It is clean and easy to use. I do not see trash on the ground after pick ups. Hopefully the forced recycling willreduce the tonage of trash. What DON'T you like about the new process?I wonder how the barrels will be with the snow banks. It will mean I have to dig out a special place for thebarrels..-------- ----------Ref# Overall11 Yes

What DO you like about the new process?easier for recycling not to separate...easier to get cans to the curb....looks neater and no trash left on the streetsWhat DON'T you like about the new process?that people still haven't figured out the proper placement of the cans and that people are still putting out othertypes of cans that are not going to be picked up-------- ----------Ref# Overall12 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?Easier recycling and limits the amount of trash being put out. What DON'T you like about the new process?nothing so far.-------- ----------Ref# Overall13 No

What DO you like about the new process? We like the clean lines of the barrels on trash day. We also like to load the recycling barrels without havingto separate the plastics and paper. The barrels are easy to bring to the curb. We like the fact that we see morerecycling bins out than before and we feel like the overall good will be more recycling or re-using.What DON'T you like about the new process? We don't like the fact that this is costing us more money. We have already paid $35 for overflow and we haven'teven had a major event i.e. moving, purging, guests etc. We have already paid $35 for overflow and dumpcosts. I transfered my trash from my old barrels and could only fit one of my old barrels into the new barrel. There are some bigger carts that we have seen in other states. It does seem like we have the smallest size. Theold system was much easier to use if we had extra items. Not sure how the "$22" savings would impact anyone-------- ----------

What DON'T you like about the new process?IT AMAZES ME THAT PEOPLE CAN'T READ THE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE LIDS TOPROPERLY PUT THE CONTAINERS OUT CURBSIDE.-------- ----------Ref# Overall18 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?Cleanliness, efficiency of use. What DON'T you like about the new process?-------- ----------

Ref# Overall19 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?New recycle bin easier to manage than the old bins, and no sorting!I also like that people are limited in the trash they can dispose of, so I am not subsidizing those who generate alot of waste. What DON'T you like about the new process?-------- ----------

Ref# Overall20 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?Single Stream Recycling.Have not had any issues with Capacity with a family of 5 plus a dog. What DON'T you like about the new process?-------- ----------Ref# Overall21 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?Very automated, goes quickly. Easy to use and clear instruction how to use. What DON'T you like about the new process? The bins are a little large to store is older homes that may have much smaller garages. Some of us do not haveplaces outside to store such large bins.

-------- ----------Ref# Overall22 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?I like it but what are we going to do at Christmas time????What DON'T you like about the new process?-------- ----------Ref# Overall23 No

What DO you like about the new process?I can put all my recyclables in one bin. What DON'T you like about the new process? The bins are way too small, even the recycling one is to small. You have to call to put bulky items out.-------- ----------Ref# Overall24 NoWhat DO you like about the new process?

Less trash blowing around my street from neighbors trash and recycling bins being left open or uncovered or thecollection truck operator dumping some of the trash on the ground while trying to load it into the truck. What DON'T you like about the new process? The containers are HUGE. We barely have any trash and very little recycling every week. These containersare overkill. I wish we had option of two different sizes to choose from. My driveway is steep and long andin the winter these huge containers will be a problem to get up and down the hill, especially for my wife if Iam traveling. I do not have room for them in my garage so I have to keep them outside and I hate looking atthem. Does anyone know where to find 65 gallon trash can liners so we can keep these monstrosities clean????-------- ----------Ref# Overall25 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?I like the fact that we only have two barrels to put out. It's easier to recycle since we don't have to seperate thepaper and plastic. I like the new big barrels. So far so good. What DON'T you like about the new process?-------- ----------

Ref# Overall26 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?I hated seperating the recycles. What DON'T you like about the new process?-------- ----------Ref# Overall27 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?

Everything is easier....What DON'T you like about the new process?Nothing......Those that comment on rainwater could dump it themselves or wait a week and it will end up in thetruck..Holes in the bottom will weep impurities onto the sidewalk..-------- ----------Ref# Overall28 No

What DO you like about the new process?I like having the large recycling bin and only having to bring 2 barrel to the curb. I'm not sure I've reallynoticed a difference in the service that would lead me to say it is better than before. I put the barrels out, go towork, come home and put them back in the garage. What DON'T you like about the new process?I definitely lost some capacity. I am constantly working on the house and cleaning out garbage. I donate/freecycle as much as I can, but I have the occasional week where I hold stuff out and put it in the barrel the nextweek since I can't fit it all.-------- ----------Ref# Overall29 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?I like the single stream recycling and how neat things look with just the two barrels per household. What DON'T you like about the new process? We have had some trouble. Our trash and recycling wasn't picked up two weeks in a row. With phone calls, that was resolved and I assume it was adjustment issues. I was so excited for this new trash and unfortunately

was disappointed in the first few weeks. The biggest issue for us is MAGGOTS! In the trash can. Disgusting. We kept our trash barrels in the garbagebefore and never had a problem. We always bag our trash inside the barrels. Now, with the new town barrels,we had a major maggot problem. DISGUSTING. So now we have to keep our barrels outside. That's abummer. I've heard of other families having maggots, too.-------- ----------Ref# Overall30 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?Containers are easy to move up and down our long drivewayLOVE the large recycling container & LOVE that we do not have to sort our recyclablesStreets look tidy on trash day

What DON'T you like about the new process?Bulk items are no longer accepted, however a simple call to WM fixes that problem, as they are happy toarrange an independent bulk pick up.-------- ----------Ref# Overall31 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?Putting all recycleables in one bin. Also, dragging two large bins to the curb is much easier than multiple

smaller bins. What DON'T you like about the new process? No complaints.-------- ----------Ref# Overall32 YesWhat DO you like about the new process? It is nice not to have liter and glass remain on our street after trash collection. The neighborhood looks muchcleaner. Also, the bigger bin allows more room to place recyclables. What DON'T you like about the new process?Nothing-------- ----------Ref# Overall33 Yes

Ref# Overall35 NoWhat DO you like about the new process? The look of the trash cans. The fact that we recycle more. What DON'T you like about the new process? Not big enough. What about bigger items such as old coolers, big toys, old cushions etc.. Where do I putthem??-------- ----------

Ref# Overall36 YesWhat DO you like about the new process? No more recycling littering the streets when it's windyWhat DON'T you like about the new process? The large recycling bin isn't big enough to hold all of our recycling and we are a family of 3. On the flip side weonly have 1 bag of trash a week, so the trash bin is way to big.-------- ----------Ref# Overall37 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?I like not having to separate recyclables. There hasn't been any trash that blew away from the recycling containers, e.g pizza boxes. The lids are attached to the barrels. No more chasing after a lid that blew away in the wind.

What DON'T you like about the new process? The size of the barrels, they take up too much space. The possible job loss, there used to be two people, now there is one. Was that person laid off or is doing otherthings.-------- ----------Ref# Overall38 NoWhat DO you like about the new process? No sorting recycleables. What DON'T you like about the new process?

One trash barrel for all trash, makes it difficult for larger bulkier items that are between trash barrel size andlarge curbside pick up items. There seems to be a no man's area that needs addressing.-------- ----------Ref# Overall39 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?1 can for recycling - large capacity.Neighbors who didn't recycle before are now recycling

What DON'T you like about the new process?Cans are a bit big to store in my garage --------- ----------Ref# Overall40 NoWhat DO you like about the new process?1) It encourages recycling2) It saves the town and users money3) The carts have wheelsWhat DON'T you like about the new process?1) There are too many oversized items that don't fit into the cart, so they're going to pile up in users' cellars andgarages2) It's a "one sizes fits all" approach which does not work for many users.3) The carts are too big and heavy (when full)for many women, elderly and disabled to easily handle. Once thesnow and ice arrive, it will be even more difficult for the above groups of users. A smaller cart is not always thesolution unless we could have two.-------- ----------

What DO you like about the new process?Combining the recyclables. What DON'T you like about the new process?Bins are a storage burden. A bit difficult for older folk to wheel them up and down long driveways. Winterwill be interesting. What happens when the plough comes by in the middle of the night...we can't all get out andshovel before work. Also will have to shovel out a bigger area in the street to accommodate the bins. The snowbanks are tough enough to clear a small area to a walkway.-------- ----------Ref# Overall51 Yes

If it doesn't fit in the bucket then specialarrangements need to be made to get rid of the item.-------- ----------

Ref# Overall52 YesWhat DO you like about the new process? It should encourage more recycling . If folks want bigger trash bins I think it means they are not recyclingproperly. Perhaps not having to sort the recycled items would be a bonus for some...What DON'T you like about the new process? The recycle bin is not nearly big enough. the trash bin is not nearly big enough for a family of 5.It is extremely frustrating that we actually had something in this town that worked well...it was our trash pickup. Now we are paying the same...and getting something that is inferior to what we had. What a shame.-------- ----------

It's different if it's garbage but since it's all clean stuff we feel it helps the environment more.

Are we also helping Franklin save money that way? Might want to publicize it a bit if that's the case. What DON'T you like about the new process?-------- ----------Ref# Overall72 YesWhat DO you like about the new process?the bins are nice
