from hydropneumatic tank to branch lines in the 23rd
flr to 20th flr.
![Page 2: Fmea Table](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022082804/54698923b4af9f33648b45db/html5/thumbnails/2.jpg)
c. 100 mm dia galvanized steel downfeed (standard Schedule 40 ), CWLDF-2
conveys gravity flow water from
elevated water tank to branch lines
in the 19th flr to basement
level and drains the
water to the underground
reservoir.
d. 40 mm dia galvanized steel downfeed (standard Schedule 40 ), CWLDF-3
conveys pressurized flow water
from hydropneumatic tank to service hose bibb in the main pipe case in the 23rd flr to 20th flr.
e. 50 mm dia galvanized steel downfeed (standard Schedule 40 ), CWLDF-4
conveys gravity flow water from
elevated water tank to service hose bibb in the main pipe case in the 19th flr to basement
level.

f. 32 mm cross linked polyehtylene/aluminum/ polyethylene branch pipes
deliver water from the
downfeeds to the 2
bedrooms units in each
floor.
g. 25 mm cross linked polyehtylene/aluminum/ polyethylene branch pipes
delives water from the
downfeeds to the 1
bedroom units in each
floor.
h. push on types aluminum coated fittings
connect cross-linked
PE-Al-PE branch pipes
to one another and to change its direction of
flows.
2. Water Meter Assembly
a. 50 mm dia galvanized steel pipes (standard Schedule 40 )
feed the parallel
connection of water
meters and branch lines in the main pipe case.
![Page 4: Fmea Table](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022082804/54698923b4af9f33648b45db/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
b. 50 mm dia rising-stem type gate valves
shut-off the flow in the 50 mm dia
pipe in each floor.
c. 25 mm dia rising-stem type gate valves
isolate a branch line and provide shutting-off
of flow in the pipe.
d. 25 mm dia water meter
read the water flow rate that
been used in each units.
3. Hydropneumatic Tank Assembly
a. 550 US gallons stainless steel hydropneumatic tank (operating pressure: 35 - 55 psi)
supplies water to the units in the 23rd flr to 20th flr.
b. 75 mm dia pressure relief valve
installed in the
hydropneumatic tank to
avoid pressure to exceed 60
psi.
![Page 5: Fmea Table](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022082804/54698923b4af9f33648b45db/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
c. 7.5 hp booster pumps (Cap. = 150 gpm, TDH = 110 ft)
parallel pumps that push water
from elevated
water tank to the
hydropneumatic tank.
d. 75 mm dia rising-stem type gate valves
isolate the hydropneumatic tank and the booster pumps from the system and provide shutting-off
of flow.
e. 75 mm dia check valves
prevent a back flow of water from
the hydropneumatic tank to
the elevated tank.
f. Pump control box
controls the pump
performance in the
hydropneumatic tank system.
4. Elevated Cylindrical Water Tank
![Page 6: Fmea Table](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022082804/54698923b4af9f33648b45db/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
a. 3400 mm dia stainless steel water tank (cap = 15,000 gallons)
reservoir that supplies the
water demand in the whole
water distribution
system.
b. 100 mm dia equalizing valve
a gate valve that
equalizes the water level in
the two partitions of the elevated
tank.
c. 25 mm dia water level indicator
indicates the water level in
the water tank.
d. 75 mm dia galvanized iron overflow drain pipe
drains water that exceed
the allowable water level.
5. Pressure Reducing Valve Assembly
![Page 7: Fmea Table](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022082804/54698923b4af9f33648b45db/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
a. 75 mm Pressure Reducing Valve
parallel valves that reduces the pressure in
the downfeed to a minimum pressure of
20 psi to avoid failure
of fixture.
b. 75 mm dia wye strainer
provide drain of water and maintenance
in the pressure reducing
valve assembly.
c. 75 mm dia threaded rising-stem type gate valves
isolate the PRV's from the system
d. 100 mm dia rising-stem gate valve
shut-offs flow in the
100 mm dia downfeed in
the 10th floor
6. Pump Room Assembly
![Page 8: Fmea Table](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022082804/54698923b4af9f33648b45db/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
a. 25 hp submerssible pumps (cap = 160 gpm, TDH = 350 ft)
lift water from the
underground reservoir
tank to the elevated
water tank.
b. pump controllers
control the pump
performance in the
underground pump
assembly
c. 100 mm dia rising-stem type gate valves
isolates components and shut-off flow in the
underground pump
assembly from the system.
d. 100 mm dia float valves
shut-offs the flow from
the 100 mm dia meter downfeed (CWLDF-2) when the allowable
water level in the
underground reservoir.
