Evaluation FMP At the start of this project, I had a rough idea of what I wanted to achieve. Over the eight weeks that I had, creating my piece of work I found it difficult with the programs that I was using to quickly make a start. To begin I gathered evidence of why I was going to create the map for rust, for one, it is still in development with Facepunch Studios adding updates every week and with the limited maps out that they already have, there is a lack of structures in rust. Because I had no trouble knowing why I was creating the map the ideas generation was easy to begin and found it easy using the evidence and knowing the criteria. I did however hand out a survey to help knowing exactly what the target audience wants. My survey was relevant to ask the gaming forum, mainly people that play rust which is a variety of all ages. I asked the forum a wide variety, all leading to what they wanted in a new map. Most of the answers that I received revolved around creating a city like map. As I started my project, I went back to using Newteks Modeller and Layout. Difficult at first, the tools I forgot about became familiar to me once again and I soon understood the software I was using. With the eight week deadline I had I feel I had enough time to go into detail about what kind of features I wanted to use, I was troubleshooting problems that I had and overcoming them quickly. But overall I feel that my map/product was successful and could be used in the game. With its range of buildings and areas to explore it has a wide range of what the target audience wanted and is easily accessible.
