Principle of foam cleaning

Foam consists of many air bubbles sur-rounded by a skin of detergent solution. The foam is the carrier of the detergent solution. These bubbles disintegrate on the surface and a film of cleaning agent forms. The foam causes the solution to stick even to vertical surfaces and ceilings. This en-sures a long contact time between the sur-face to be cleaned and the cleaning solu-tion.
