Announcements Re-opening Plans for Cornerstone Cornerstone will be re-opening this Sunday with limited seating. Sign ups are required to attend over the next three weeks. You can sign up on our website www.cbclilburn.org. This is “first come, first serve” until the maximum number is reached. If you attend on June 14, we ask that you allow others to sign up for the next two weeks. We hope to return to our full seating capacity by July 5. If you do attend church, please review the CDC recommendations and assess your risk. Everyone is required to sanitize their hands at the door, and must wear a mask at all times. Ushers will take you to your assigned seat. We will practice social distancing during our time of worship.
LIVE Streaming Available Our LIVE Streaming service will be available on our website starting June 14. If you cannot attend on the church campus, please join us virtually.
Visitors by Appointment Only The CBC building is open for 10 or less people. Please call the office or email [email protected] to make an appointment before you visit the church campus, even if you have a key. Because of new sanitization requirements, we must now track all those using the inside of the building and it must be sanitized after each person’s visit. Thank you for your cooperation.
Donations Needed We have been unable to obtain anti-bacterial wipes and Lysol spray. If you have any at your home you would be willing to donate, please let the office know [email protected].
cbcKidz Celebration Sunday Our celebration has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00 PM. All K-5 kids and their families are invited to join us for food, music, games, prizes, awards, graduation and lots of fun. We’ll meet on the CBC basketball court, so dress comfortably. Parents are welcome to sit on the bleachers or bring their own lawn chairs. Kids will be on the basketball court. See you there!
cbcKidz Re-opening Plans Tentatively, all cbcKidz 2nd Hour activities will resume Sunday, July 5. This includes the nursery, pre-school class, and Children’s Church. All 1st Hour activities are tentatively scheduled to resume in August. In the meantime, Pre-School and K-5 Videos go live every Friday at 9:00 AM on our YouTube Channel cbcKidz869.
Volunteers for 2020-21 Do you enjoy being around kids? Do you “feel” God nudging you to get involved with Children’s Ministries? Are you motivated to help our kids better understand the power and the complexities of the Word of God? Over the next several weeks, we will be forming the 2020-21volunteer teams for the Nursery, Pre-School, and K-5 classes. A variety of roles and time slots will need to be filled. Please contact Debra Sanders at [email protected] for information on all the opportunities that will be available this fall and the requirements for serving.

WEEK 37 Mark 9:42-48
Flip-Flopped Greatness (part 4) Cornerstone Bible Church Lilburn, GA Pastor Peter O’Neill
42 “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. 43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— 44 where, ‘Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’ 45 And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— 46 where ‘Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’ 47 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire— 48 where ‘Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’ (Mark 9:42-48, edited NKJV)
