TLR is a flexible market driven laboratory for the analysis of a wide range of products. The company carries out a comprehensive range of analyses in different fields e.g. analysis of cereals, oils, fruits, vegetables, cotton and textile. In addition to a rapid and efficient laboratory service, TLR delivers certificates by fax or in PDF-format to your e-mail address.

Moreover, advanced electronic communication through XML is available for automatic data processing or exchange. Furthermore, TLR has the possibility to offer a real-time web based client access, to keep track of your samples.

GrainsTLR offers routine laboratory analyses for cereals and flour (alveograph, falling number, Zeleny index and admixture). In addition TLR analyses a wide range of contaminants such as pesticides, mycotoxins (approx. 26 compounds such as ZEA and DON) and heavy metals.

Our accreditations The TLR laboratory is accredited according to ISO 17025 by the Dutch Council for Accreditation. Our accreditation certificate and the list of all our accredited methods can be downloaded from www.tlr.nl/accreditation.

In addition TLR is a member of independent quality certification schemes such as GAFTA, FOSFA, GMP+, OVOCOM, NOFOTA and Q&S.


FeedFor the feed industry and the analyses of their raw materials, TLR offers a broad range of analyses. Starting from nutritional value, via contaminants such as pesticides, dioxins and melamine towards microbiological analyses such as Salmonella. These analyses are carried out according to various quality schemes such as VERNOF, Q&S, GAFTA, GMP+.

Fruit and vegetablesTLR provides for fruits and vegetables analyses within 24 hours of nitrate and pesticides (insecticides, fungicides and biocides). To monitor the quality of vegetables, fruits and fruit products we offer microbiological analyses and the determination of mycotoxins (e.g. patulin and ochratoxin).


FoodTLR employs specialists in the fields of food chemistry and food microbiology. Our specialists can identify deviations in food quality in early production stages on the basis of comprehensive test and product knowledge.

The TLR consultants provide assistance in product analyses for quantitative ingredient declarations, assistance in solving production problems and assistance in analytical verification programmes to guarantee the safety of your food products.

Herbs and spicesHerbs and spices are suseptible to microbiological contamination. TLR offers a wide variety of analyses such as Salmonella serovars, E. coli, Total Plate Count (TPC) and lactic acid bacteria.

These products are often contaminated by Azo dyes, mycotoxins and pesticides, analyses all included in the TLR-scope.

Training TLR provides ’in service’ staff training programmes in the field of food quality and food safety. These programmes are very cost effective, because they are ’tailor-made’ to equip your staff with all the relevant skills they need to assure your quality management objectives. We provide support for all segments of the food industry, including catering services, food production and distribution, transportation, airline catering, retail and public media.


Oils and FatsTLR is member-analyst of FOSFA and participates in its quality scheme. The Laboratory is FOSFA-approved for all required fosfa analyses for example Lecitin, Free Fatty Acids (FFA), Iodine Value etc. In addition TLR can analyse a wide range of contaminants such as mineral oil, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and dioxins. Consultancy TLR consultants can provide an independent assessment of your production facility to verify whether your product meets the quality criteria of food safety laws and/or retail organisations. The TLR consultants provide assistance in risk assessment & evaluation of food production processes based on certification schemes such as HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, GLOBALGAP, BRC, IFS of Q&S.
