Program DescriptionWhat is covered in the FDNM program?• Facilitating & leading a food services department while adhering to professional

standards• Quality management programs• Nutritional & healthy living principles• Marketing & promotional initiatives• Supporting organizational effectiveness, including financial analysis & control• Supporting design of a food & nutrition human resources plan• Collaborating in an organization’s business plan or client care plan• Applying research competencies to the assessment, analysis & problem-solving

within a food services department

Salient Features of FDNM Program

• More importance to interactive & one-to-one learning• Practical hands-on training including special aspects like:

– In-lab Modified Foods Course– Food & Nutrition Analysis Software Component

• Up to 10 weeks of job exposure & experience– Clinical: Working with a food and nutrition manager and a dietician for

patient food needs– Managerial: Understanding of the requirements of Purchasing, Menu

Planning, Human Resource Management for a Food Service Operation, etc.• More facilities within other offerings of Georgian College like Health and
