Ladies Recreation Club No. 10 Old Peak Road Hong Kong 1 | Page Food & Beverage Management Trainee Programme 2019 About LRC Founded in 1883 the LRC occupies an ideal location on Old Peak Road which is easily reached both from the residential area of the Peak and Mid-levels and from Central, the CBD of Hong Kong island. After more than a century of sports and good camaraderie, the Club today remains committed to its original charter – that of providing members and their families with outstanding amenities in which they can enjoy sports, recreation, social life and dining. Today there are approximately 3000 members from varied backgrounds. Approximately 70% are family memberships. The Programme The purpose of the Food and Beverage Management Trainee Programme is to train and develop trainees to become future leaders at the LRC. The trainees will be joining an entry level position with increasing duties and responsibilities to junior management. They will work alongside with managers within all the Food & Beverage outlets throughout the Club. They will be expected to support the Food & Beverage operations by completing general tasks and projects throughout the 2-year period of training. The outlets include Banqueting sales & operations, Cocktail Lounge, Sports Bar, Dining Room, Lotus Bistro, Family Clubhouse Restaurant, Pizzeria & Bowling Alley, Gourmet 10 retail shop and kitchen operation. There may also be a chance for the trainees to have a short exposure in other non- Food & Beverage Departments, such as Sports & Recreation Department, Facilities & Maintenance Department, Membership Department, Accounts and Human Resources.

About LRC

Founded in 1883 the LRC occupies an ideal location on Old Peak Road which is easily reached both from the residential area of the Peak and Mid-levels and from Central, the CBD of Hong Kong island. The Programme

Management Trainee’s Job Responsibilities

• Work in all areas of Food & Beverage including casual dining, fine dining, sports bar and banquets & events

• Welcome members in a polite and friendly manner • Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer

service • Assist in answering members’ queries in a timely and efficient manner • Assist in preparing set ups for tables and/or function rooms • Comply with F & B policies & procedures, club’s security, fire regulations and all health

and safety legislation • Attend management meetings when required • Assist in analyzing financial figures and preparing reports • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

Essential Job Skills and Behaviour

• Positive attitude; detail-minded; a team player • Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service • Good communication skills; good command of written and spoken English • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings and weekends • Hard working, able to work in a fast paced working environment and remain calm under

pressure.

The Person

• University graduates major in the hospitality management or equivalent • A well-motivated and enthusiastic person who is eager to learn more and develop his

career in Food & Beverage industry • Previous Food & Beverage industry experience • Knowledge of food hygiene regulations • Excellent spoken and written English

Training Period

2 Years

During the two-year Programme, Management Trainees will acquire job-related skills and knowledge through rotations in core departments, participation in cross-functional assignments, and leadership training. The Programme is designed to develop high potential talents into future leaders.

Career Path

The Trainee will progress to junior to middle management position upon completion of 2 years of

Training Programme.

The Offer
