Hood Cleaning Griddle CleaningThe Safe, Quick and Effective Method

for Cleaning Stainless Steel Ventilation Hoods

Step 1: Cover EquipmentCover all sensitive cooking equipment like fryers, ranges and griddles before starting to clean overhead.

Step 2: Prepare Cleaning SolutionsFill the Sprayer On A Belt with concentrated cleaning solution and spray the brush.Fill the 6 gallon Pro Bucket with clear water to be used as rinse water only.

Step 4A: Hood Surface Cleaning – Normal SoilageApply solution onto the Strip Washer with the Sprayer On A Belt.Clean stainless surfaces using MicroStrip Washer Sleeve and Swivel T-Bar. Use the Sprayer On A Belt repeatedly to dampen the washer.

Step 3: Clean Corners and Tight AreasApply cleaning solution onto the Unger Corner Brush using the Sprayer On A Belt. Scrub corners and tight areas.Use the OptiLocTM telescopic pole for extended reach. (Note: you may want to remove filters during hood cleaning.)

Step 5: Hood DryingDry and polish surface using the MicroWipe microfiber cloth draped over the StripWasher.Replace cloth if wet as needed.

Step 4B: Hood Surface Cleaning – Heavy SoilageFlush the surface with a lot of water to remove the chemical solution from the surface.Rinse the sleeve in the bucket and repeat as needed.

Ideal for Removing Cooked on Food and Grease

Step 1: Loosen FoodLoosen cooked on food and oil by scraping the griddle surface with the long handle or short handle scraper.Scraping at a low angle will remove the greatest amount of cooked on food , and will protect the griddle surface from blade nicks and scratches.

Step 2: Remove Loose FoodRemove loose food and oil from the griddle surface with the High Heat Squeegee.Scrape excess food and oil into the grease trap at the front corner of the griddle.

Step 4: Remove CleanerSqueegee excess food and oil into the grease trap.Use a clean, wet cloth to remove any remaining degreaser or oil from griddle surface.

Step 3: Clean GriddleLower griddle temperature, as recommended by the equipment manufacturer or cleaning chemical manufacturer.Apply industry standard grill cleaner or liquid degreaser to entire surface of the griddle.Scrub surface of griddle using woven abrasive pad. For safety, use the Griddle High Heat Squeegee to firmly hold down the abrasive pad to maximize cleaning of griddle surface.

Step 5: Final Touch Up*Use the MicroWipe microfiber cloth and spray or liquid degreaser to wipe off stainless steel front, edges and sides.Season clean griddle surface with light cooking oil. Spread oil with clean Griddle High Heat Squeegee.

*Using microfiber on a hot/warm surface may result in the microfiber melting.
