The Stampede are led by leading scorer Nolan Walker and goaltender Mikhail Berdin. For Tri-City, the player to watch is goaltender Filip Larsson. Larsson leads the USHL in basically every statistical category, including GAA (1.57), Save% (.943), shutouts (6), and wins (16). THIS WEEK'S GAMES matt murray (16-17) zane mcintyre (10-12) This week's alumni of the week are Matt Murray (16-17) and Zane McIntyre (10-12). Murray and McIntyre make up a goalie-centric version of our alumni of the week. Murray and UMass took on Boston University last weekend and McIntyre is 3-2 in his last five starts for Providence in the AHL. ALUMNI OF THE WEEK WEEK IN REVIEW The Force came back from a Friday night loss to dominate in a 6-1 drubbing of Muskegon on Saturday. Strauss Mann made 26 saves, but Muskegon escaped with a 1-0 win on Friday night thanks to a PP goal in the second period. Six different players scored goals, 11 players tallied points, and the Force scored four power play goals in a 6-1 domination of the visiting Lumberjacks on Saturday. The USHL has named its players of the week for Week 17 of the regular season: Forward: Tristan Ashbrook Ashbrook had six points as the Stars swept Team USA this weekend. Defenseman: Travis Mitchell Mitchell had a trio of assists this weekend as the Lancers won twice. Goalie: Strauss Mann Mann stopped 57 of 59 shots he faced in Fargo's weekend series with Muskegon. AROUND THE USHL Mann was named USHL goalie of the week for his 57- save weekend against Muskegon. The Greenwich, CT has an 11-6-2 record, a 2.01 GAA, and a .932 save percentage in 20 games this season.. FORCE NEWSANOTHER ONEAfter a hard-fought 1-0 loss on Friday night, Fargo came out with a vengeance onSaturday against Muskegon. The Force scored early and often in a 6-1 win over theLumberjacks. The home team had six different goal scorers, 11 different playerswith points, and four power play goals despite missing five players to injury andsuspension.

POWER PLAY PROWESSForward Ben Meyers tallied his eighth power play goal of the season in the thirdperiod of Saturday's game against Muskegon. The goal moved him up to fifth placeon the Force single-season power play scoring list. Meyers is tied with DenisSmirnov, who scored eight goals on the man advantage in 2014-2015.

ON THE ROAD AGAINFargo will look to continue its road dominance as the Force travel for nine of theirnext 11 games. The Force are 12-4-1 in 17 games played away from Scheels Arenathis season. Fargo is outscoring its opponents 63-39 while they are on the road.

DEADLINE ACQUISITIONWith the USA Hockey Trade/Drop Deadline approaching on Feb. 6, the Forcetraded Brian Hurley and Matt Kessel to the Chicago Steel in exchange fordefenseman Robbie Stucker and Xan Gurney. Stucker is a 19-year-old who rankseighth among USHL defenseman in scoring with 19 points (4-15-19) in 34 gamesthis season. Gurney is a 17-year-old out of Grosse Ile, Michigan who has 1 point (0-1-1) in 26 games with Chicago this year. Stucker is committed to the University ofMinnesota and Gurney is committed to Western Michigan University.

EL CAPITANMark Senden played in his 100th career USHL game in Friday night's 1-0 loss toMuskegon. Senden has now played 101 career USHL games, 75 with Fargo and 26with Des Moines. The Medina, Minnesota native has 35 points (19-16-35) in those101 games.

SCORE FIRST, WIN, REPEATAfter scoring the opening goal in Saturday night's contest against Muskegon, Fargois now 15-3-2 when it scores the first goal in a game. The Force have scored thefirst goal in 20 of their 38 games.
