Understanding new bulk trash pick-up rules

All bulk items must be put out by 7:00 p.m. the night before the scheduled pick-up date for the zone that your residence is located in. Once the bulk items have been picked up, then new items may not be put out again until the next scheduled pick-up date for your zone. Please place the items as close to the curb as possible without spill over into the street. Do not place items by a mailbox or under a tree where the mechanical arm will not be able to pick up the item(s) in a safe manner. Should the bulk item(s) be placed in such a way that the mechanical arm cannot pick them up, then your bulk will not be picked up. Bulk pick-up will NOT accept construction debris (such as lumber, drywall, cabinets, roofing materials, sinks/tubs/toilets, doors/windows, etc) or hazardous materials such as paint, batteries, and the like. Should construction materials need to be collected then a special pick-up must be arranged from Progressive. If you need to dispose of hazardous materials, then you would need to pick-up a voucher from City Hall at a cost of $47.00 and take the materials to the Fort Worth Environmental Center on Bridge Street in Fort Worth. Please call City Hall at 817 568-3000 should you have any questions about the bulk pick-up services. Progressive may be reached at 817 222-2221 and Ft. Worth Environmental Center may be reached at 817 392-1234.
