The Poems:Step 1:Before the examination, read and understand the poem thoroughly. Take note of important points such as the theme, persona, moral values, tone and mood, point of view, structure, language and style of the poem. During the examination, read through the poem again to refresh your memory. Step 2:Read the questions carefully before attempting to answer. Always refer to the poem to find clues that can be used in identifying the possible answer. Step 3: Before choosing the answer, read all the options given carefully. If in doubt, refer to the poem again to determine the best answer.Step 4:Always double check the answer that you have chosen. Read the question again and confirm your answer by referring to the poem.

Another PMR literature component is short story. In the examination, objective type questions will be based upon the given texts/ passage. The students will learn a new short story, starting from 2010, which is;
