APPENDIX 1

1. Termite Control – At the time of final inspection a durable notice complying with Clause B1.4 (i)(ii) must be located in a prominent location indicating the following:

(a) The method of protection; and (b) The date of installation of the system; and (c) Where a chemical barrier is used; its life expectancy as listed on the National

Registration Authority Label; and (d) The installer’s or manufacturer’s recommendation for the scope and frequency of

future inspections for termite activity. 2. Roof stormwater to be taken to kerb and channelling or other legal point of discharge by

means as approved on the plans or method determined as satisfactory by the inspecting officer at the time of final inspection.

3. Fire extinguishers to be provided and installed in accordance with Clause E1.6 of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standard 2444.

4. Exit doors and doors in the path of travel to an exit to be readily openable without a key

from the side that faces a person seeking egress by a single hand action on a single device located between 900mm and 1.2m from the floor in accordance with Clause D2.21 of the Building Code of Australia.

5. Emergency lighting system and illuminated exit signs to comply with Australian Standard

and New Zealand Standard 2293.1 as per the requirements of Clause E4.4 of the Building Code of Australia.

6. One set of legible, current drawings for the development must be available for inspection

on the site while work is in progress so as to comply with section 73 of the Building Act 1975.

7. This approval was made on the basis that access by people with disabilities would not be appropriate due to health and safety risks and the particular purpose for which the area is used.

8. Demolition, removal and rebuilding is to comply with Section 71 Part 3 of the Building

Act 1975. (3) Within 1 year after the giving of the approval— (a) the building work must be completed; and (b) if the building work is rebuilding, after removal, of a building or structure, either— (i) if, under the approval or a regulation, the building work must be inspected, a final inspection showing that the building work complies with the approval or regulation is carried out; or (ii) under chapter 5, a certificate of classification must be given for the building.

6.
