Issues / Actions
Photos 1. ESPC Project 1:1a. High Efficiency Fixtures (toilets, urinals, showerheads) : Completed
1b. DFMWR Well Water Fed Irrigation System : 100% completed
2. ESPC Project 2:2a. Leak Detection Survey: Performed , 8 leaks found & repaired
2b. Water Harvesting: Completed , Includes 9 Buildings (330KSF)
2c. Potable Water Well Construction: Completed & Operating.
3. Facility Reduction Program:3a. 118,454 SF (FY11), 62,931 SF (FY13), and 36,024 SF (FY14)
4. Advanced Metering System:4a. All Buildings above 20KSF. ECD by 1st QTR FY16 (95% completion rate)
5 . PNNL Water Balance Study and Net Zero Roadmap completed
Current Status
Roadmap Way-Ahead1. Issues:
1a. No treatment facilities on Post and aged Water Distribution System
2. Actions:2a. Hydraulic Modeling Study managed by USACE-Mobile District Office is ongoing to determine Water Distribution System condition and provide upgrade/repair recommendations. ECD: 1st QTR FY172b. PNNL completed (4th QTR FY15) a Feasibility Study (FS) for a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) & Reclaim Water Reuse Strategy. FS concluded that the project is feasible and complies with Savings to Investment Ratio (SIR) of 1 and 19 years of Simple Payback. USACE Mobile will conduct a planning Charrette for a WWTP design including a 2nd Well. Estimate Implementation cost is approx. $5M. EST: FY17 / ECD: FY19.
