Erratum K. Naeser, The Vergence-Based, Empirically Modi- fied Intraocular Lens Equation. European Journal of Implant and Refractive Surgery, 1991; 3, 201-206. Author's Note: In this paper Figures 2-5 were drawn automatically by the SAS statistical program from the plotted values. Erroneously, the plotting program was instructed to disregard residual values exceeding ±3 diopters. There were some residual values >-3 diopters in Figs 2 and 3, but none in Figs 4 to 5. This affects the regression line in Fig. 2 and to a minor degree in Fig. 3. Furthermore, during the typing, the constant in the regression equation for Fig. 3 has erroneously been given a 'minus' sign. K. Naeser, The Vergence-Based, Empirically Modified Intraocular Lens Equation.

Figs 2, 3. Relationship between the residual refraction and the preoperative axial length (Fig. 2) and preoperative ~orneal curvature (Fig. 3). Each figure displays individual values and the following regressions equations with their 95% confidence limits:

Fig. 2. RESIDUAL REFRACTION = -8.72 + 0.35* AXIAL LENGTH (r = 0.31; P = 0.013).

Fig. 3. RESIDUAL REFRACTION = 1.71 0.29*CORNEAL CURVATURE (r = -0.07; P 0.59)

These errors do not affect the conclusions of the study.
