2
Engineering Team
Our Engineers will sweep through your network to identify and prioritize cables for extraction
Once cables are identified, our team will prepare work order packages, consisting of full size prints and manhole details
The package is now handed off to our central office team to audit cables
3
Central Office Teams
Our central office teams are responsible for auditing both the MDF and CXF. If the audit reveals any working services, a list will be provided for redesign
Once cables have been cleared of any existing working services, all modules are removed and the package is now handed off to our trimming crew
4
Trimming Crews
The trimming crew will recheck the MDF and CXF and walk each cable run and locate all manholes.
The outside crew will move through the manhole system trimming and removing splices. In addition, they will also identify and can repair any air pressure leaks.
After the trimming is completed, the package is then handed off to the extraction crew

Trimming Crews (cont.)
No cable is cut without first completing our 5 step method:
(1) Check for cable tag and duct location
(2) Verify sheath tone from central office
(3) Establish talk pair with splicer in the central office
(4) Short and ground additional cable pairs within the splice
(5) Probe each group with a T-Bug checking for battery
Once this process is complete, the cable can be trimmed and clearly identified for the extraction
6
Extraction Team
The lead person on the extraction crew will walk the cable run and located all manholes. The crew moves from manhole to manhole removing cables utilizing an MCV. During the extraction process, mule tape and or subduct can be pulled through the conduit.
Once all cable and material has been removed, the extracted footage is recorded and all material is transported to a Fortune facility

Benefits Of The Program
Asset Recovery ($$) for extracted cable and central office equipment
Reduced Tax Burden
Updated Engineering Records with manhole details
Reduction in future construction costs– Available duct space
Maintenance expense savings through the reduction of air pressure alarms

Program Summary
Over the past six years, we have removed over 16 million feet of cable. We have also removed cable and equipment from over 300 central offices across the country
– During this time, Fortune has paid telecommunication companies approx $50 million in scrap value for the material removed.
– In most cases, the value of the material recovered exceeds the cost of the removal process, resulting in a revenue generating program
Our team has the ability to provide services for all, or part, of your outside plant asset recovery program
