Planting material market The volume of the Russian market in planting material amounts to some billion euro. The annual growth is about 5-

10%. The share of domestic planting material on the world market amounts no more than 5-10%. The main consumers

of the market are landscape companies and gardening centers, they accumulate about 52% of total consumption.

Market profile

Landscape Industry The market volume of landscape design in St. Petersburg and suburbs amounts at least 150-200 million dollars. It includes services in landscape design, architecture and city improvement. The market gives a steady annual growth of about 15-30%. Excluding city parks and lawns, landscape design market in Russia can be estimated at about 500 - 600 million dollars.

Flower market In 2012, the flower market in Russia reached 3.7 billion U.S. dollars, the annual growth rate is 5, 7%. Due to the fact that in 2013 the rates of customs fees on import of cut flowers and flower buds will be reduced from 15 to 5%, experts predict the market growth rate to 10%.

• Saint Petersburg is a center of historic parks and unique landscape ensembles. 483 green objects, which are located in the city, belong to the cultural heritage. Among them there are 100 objects designated as historic parks.

• According to the government concept of development of St. Petersburg - 2020, the territories

currently occupied by enterprises of the "old industry" will be gradually released and used for the formation of green areas. St. Petersburg will increase the number of parks and gardens and reach the level of London’s green space per 1 inhabitant.

• Only in St. Petersburg and its suburbs there are more than 2,5 million gardeners and owners of

country-houses. The presence of this segment of consumers in the B2C sector is also a unique advantage of the project.
