Foundation student employees are encouraged to applyfor the Norman J Priest Scholarship This scholarshipwas created 10 years ago to honor former Cal PolyPomona Foundation Board Member Norm Priest andreward at least 2 deserving full time students who em-body the values and work ethic of Mr Priest in their par-ticipation and leadership in campus activities andcommunity service and in their work activities as em-ployees of the Foundation

Submitted applications are reviewed by Mrs HaloPriest her son James Priest and a Foundation Scholar-ship Committee Selection is based on onersquos resume arecommendation from both a supervisor and a Founda-tion staff member plus an essay on how the Cal PolyPomona Foundation has helped them with their educa-tional goals and how the award will help them achievetheir careereducational goals The essay should alsohighlight how participation and leadership in campusactivities and community service will help them achievetheir goals Applications can be found online athttpswwwsurveymonkeycomsNY83SJS

STARBUCKS AT THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY EXPANDSMENU IN RESPONSE TO CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

For Fall Quarter 2011 Starbucks at the University Library has takenmany steps in response to feedback from the campus community

We have completed the launch of hot breakfast sandwiches atStarbucks We installed an oven which allows Baristas to heat anypastries upon customer request as well as prepare the new break-fast sandwiches and lunch paninis

Starbucks is offering a wide variety of breakfast choices to suit alltastes Two vegetarian options that are included in our line up ofartisan and classic sandwiches and a wrap Since the launch ofthese options we have been receiving very positive feedback fromour customers We had a few staff members that posted on Face-book how excited they were to offer the warm breakfast at Star-bucks

Along with the new breakfast we have also expanded our lunchoptions to include new Bistro Boxes such as the fruit and cheese se-lection shown below as well as sandwiches and paninis
