Greetings to all members and friends, Two big things to report. First, congratulations to those members who attended the MCA Nationals in Kansas City last week. I've seen great pictures from the event and hopefully someone shares a report on their experi-ence at this show. I saw many Award winners in photos and Facebook. I know the Club was well represented in Kansas. Next, this is our month for the 38Th Annual Roundup Show. A year in the making. Troy and Cary have joined us with the Gatesway Balloon Festival that will provide a colorful backdrop for our beautiful Mustangs. Please be prepared to help as you can with door prizes ( bring to Tuesday meeting) and volunteer to help Troy wherever needed. It is a Club effort to make this happen. Calen-dars are here and are very well done. Those and T-Shirts will both be available at the General Meeting. Thank you for all of the hard work that has gone into this. Excited to see everyone at the Round Up!

Green Country Classic Mustangs General Meeting August 1, 2017

Speedy Gonzales Restaurant Open Meeting – The meeting was called to order at 7PM by Roger Bynum. Present: 40+ 2 guests

• Treasurer report was given • July minutes to be approved at September general meeting Discussion

• Roger will be out of town for the September general meeting

• Troy sent an email to everyone showing the parking map for the show. Gatesway is coming along well on their fundraising

• Alan Stretesky - T-shirts - Alan brought a shirt to show the color. Price to print $10.75, that also includes children’s

sizes. Smallest children’s is an XS, which is about a 5T, Largest children’s size is a 16-18. Shirts will be ready a week from when ordered.

• Alan Stretesky - Trophies - 1st place is Red, 2nd place is White, and 3rd is Blue, to signify the colors on the Mus-

tang emblem, we may be doing Top 3 in class instead of places. Alan and Derek will visit Trophy’s Inc to check out prices on specialty trophies.

• We still need goody bag and door prizes. Please give to either Ron Watkins or Ron Magnusson. We have one gen-

eral meeting before the show. • Troy has show flyers for anyone to hand out. We plan distributing flyers during the MCA Nationals in Kansas City. • Ron Watkins can provide pricing and order GCCM car magnets for anyone interested. MCA news

• Billy Henson - Head MCA judge - The judges will meet Sunday night after the MCA show to decide on changes for the next year. Anyone is able to go to this meeting. Meeting starts about 4pm and scheduled to end noon on Monday. Billy also went over medallion points needed, and changes. Billy added he went to the MCA show in Geor-gia, and said it was the best one yet. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Billy.

Green Country Classic Mustangs Board Meeting August 22, 2017

Opening - The Board Meeting was called to order at 6:56 by Roger Bynum. Present - 8 Board Members, 4 visitors Old Business

• John asked Janice to update website w/correct calendar price. Melvin has ten of our new calendars to sell at his shop.

• T-shirts ready to be picked up 8/23/17

• Trophies - 15” specialty trophies w/ Mustang on top. Should cost about $20.00 each. Dignitary trophies will be single post. The dignitary trophies should include the following choices: mayor, fire, police, Gatesway, and EMSA.

• The classified trophies are car tag shaped two color awards. Made by member Derek Fritz… they will be red white and blue representing the top three in each class.

• We may ask Sarah Frey of the Gatesway Foundation to pick a winner for our memorial Jim Liner Trophy. Roger will talk to LeAnn Taylor about media for show from Channel 6. Roger also mentioned doing a cruise to Jim Lin-er’s nephews Antique business.

• Troy - Soiree tickets - Alan & Crystal 2, Troy & Cary 4, Ken & Mary 2, Jamie & Franca 4, Ron & Linda 2, Roger &Elaine 2, Rachel & Jason 2, John & Kelly, Derek 2.

• 9/14/17 Media night at Gatesway campus, they are requesting that we have a few cars there. • 9/15/17 Hospitality dinner at Gatesway campus in Gym 1217 E College Ave, Broken Arrow, Ok • 9/16/17 Show!!!!

• We have 25 people pre-registered. Please feel free to register by going to our website. • Sponsor display board with out logo will be 35”x31”. The two other same size displays will have 8"x 10" sheets

each with a different sponsor attached with Velcro. This setup is designed to be used annually. Should be about $500 to start, then nominal fees to replace sponsors each year.

• Donation to Gatesway - Troy is recommending GCCM give Gatesway $5.00 per car registration, this will be put to

vote at next general meeting. Adjournment - Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 by Roger Bynum.

Chuckle Break

Two Camaro owners were having a serious discussion during a meal at a local Braum's recently. One asked the other which was the furthest from the restaurant… "is it the moon or Miami Florida?" The other re-plied, "That's easy! Can you see Miami Flor-ida?!?"

The Toy Corral has always been much more than Toys. It’s a gathering place for old and new friends. This year the gathering time will be at 2pm the day of the Car Show. Come and join us! After 35 shows, Jimmy and Dena Cook will be handing the reins of the Toy Corral to our right-hand man and trophy specialist Justin Laird and “Mom” Carolyn. Jimmy says “We may not be deriving the team, but we’ll still be riding in the buckboard!”

Green Country Classic Mustangs members attended the MCA Grand Nationals Show in Kansas City last weekend… July 25 - 27. We came home with eight gold, three silver and three bronze awards! Proud to be GCCM!
