In the loving memory of beloved Babuji, on his birthday 7th August, O.P. Jindal School Raigarh organized series of Art, Cultural, Literary & Sports (Football final match) Competitions on 6th & 7th of August – 2018, including 30 peripheral Schools and more than 600 students across the district. The students from different schools started gathering on 6th August, 18 in the school auditorium at 8:00 AM. The programme started at 9:00 AM with Shloka, Lighting of Lamp, Floral Tribute to revered Babuji, Speech and Welcome Song. The assembly further was addressed by honourable Principal Shri R. K. Trivedi. He formally announced the competitions open for the day.

The competition was divided into four categories viz.

Essay writing Competition

Group Song Competition

Debate Competition

Drawing Competition

Football

As usual last three events took place on the spot, witnessed by the students & staff of

O.P. Jindal School, Raigarh and the participating schools.

Craft department of OP Jindal School, Raigarh.

12TH O. P. JINDAL MEMORIAL INTER SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The Inter School Football Tournament was held from 1st to 7th August, 2018 in our school playground in which 11 different schools. In the Final match held on 7th August,2018 between O. P. Jindal School, Raigarh and Guardian and Guide Eng. Med. School, Raigarh, our school emerged as the winner for the 9th time and bagged the trophy, mementoes and cash award of Rs. 5,000/-. Mr. D.K. Saraogi, Executive Director, JSPL, Raigarh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and awarded the prizes. He appreciated and encouraged both the teams. He further congratulated and applauded the efficient guidance of Mr. R. K. Trivedi, Principal OPJS for the successful conduct of the tournament. The programme concluded with prize distribution ceremony. On this occasion Mr. Sanjay Debnath (Administrator), Mrs. Leena Chacko (Headmistress), Mrs. Shweta Singh (Sr. Mistress) and Mr. Gurudutta Pandey (Coordinator – Activities) & other staff members were also present.

The school conducted a series of literary, cultural & sports activities during the week-long Founder’s Day celebrations in which the students from various schools participated enthusiastically. The Winners & Participants were suitably awarded with certificates, trophies and cash prizes and mementoes for their wonderful performance.

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY

To conclude the birthday celebration week of revered Babuji, a spiritual evening “BHAJAN SANDHYA” was organized in the Auditorium of O. P. Jindal School.

The sequence of Bhajans started with Mr. Jagmohan Kumar Patel followed by the voices of Rimpa Banerjee (Teacher of OPJS), Bhairvi Mahant, Khyati Yadav (students of OPJS). The audience was enthralled by their melodious voice & musical notes. The bhajan sequence further included the recitals of Surasree Bhattacharjee (Teacher of OPJS) Rishabh Jain, Vidhan Agrawal, Sanskar Panigrahi & Vidushee Shadangi (Student of OPJS). At the end G.D. Mahant charmed the people with his sweet hymn. The programme was coordinated by G. D. Mahant and Subhash Kumar equally supported by other members of Performing Art department of O.P. Jindal School. The programme was very well attended by the dignitaries from JSPL, JLC & JOC.
