Page 1: Four points for driving results

Customer Service:

My number one priority is customer service. I lead the team at OfficeMax to the highest customer service score on the west coast. Raised Key Bank’s score to the highest level measured and at Copy Express we never missed a deadline in thirteen years. These are measurable results that garner new and return business.

Sales Acumen:

Led teams to meet and exceed goals at every location. Key Bank Behrends Branch was awarded “Signature Circle” in 2009, (an award for exceeding sales and profit goals while still attaining customer service and employee retention numbers}. Exceeded sales goal at OfficeMax every quarter, both in the Juneau store but also in the Anchorage store while I was Training Manager. Copy Express thrived in the Juneau market, closing three competitors and purchasing two others in our tenure.

Human Resources:

Enjoyed the responsibility of interviewing applicants and stepping them through the onboarding process at all of my recent endeavors. Including Executive Director Positions at Juneau Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Southeast Alaska and Juneau Economic and Development Council. Appointed to the Worker’s Compensation Board of the State of Alaska in 2010. Staffed and operated a brand new OfficeMax store in Juneau. Many hours of experience with regulations and issues in human resources field, including hiring process, employee reviews, corrective action responses and termination requirements. Continued education into the broad field of Human Resources including, conducting background checks, interview for success, separation process and dealing with workplace conflict.

Financial results:

I have experience in managing profit and loss results. Controlling what can and must be controlled and concentrating on the items that can be affected by local conditions. I drove my OfficeMax store to 188% over plan for profit by controlling payroll and inventory costs. At my own business I demonstrated how to run more efficiently on both inventory and fixed asset costs, (space and equipment lease costs), while driving the best results from staff by concentrating on output per employee. Right person on right job at the right time. Managed budget for DOA/ETS of Fifty million dollars carefully meeting all needs while controlling spend by cost center.
