posal to grant three months extension to DGPJ.V.Ramudu, with this news the officer whomissed the chance earlier has to wait again.Allknow who are the officers in the race, not tomention their names, as already they are in dis-tress. That's why we say not again.

Hello VizagOffcier T.Yoganand took over as com-

missioner of police of Visakhapatnam. It’s akey posting and some of the officers weredreaming for it, but ultimately the govern-ment picked a officer with a clean profile forthe posting. Best choice…!

Why !Why the Visakhapatnam city Police Commissioner

Amit Garg has been transferred is a discussion in thepower corridor, it's a well known fact that the politicianswere not able to continue their ‘netagiri’ in Amit's regime,so they started influencing the CM whenever he visitedthe city. It’s an unfair trend and a loss to the government. In transfer the officer is posted as IG (P&L).

Laddha in IBVijayawada city Addl. CP Mahesh Chandra Laddha

has been promoted to IG and posted as IG intelli-gence, which is considered to be the crucial posting.Infact this is the best choice,as the officer profile suitsfor a department like IB.

a hectic month followed by many initiatives.First comesthe 24x7 emergency services during the recent stormywinds followed by heavy rains in the city. Officer calleda meeting with various departments to save thetrees.Another one is the Job Mela through which around489 youth got employment. The corruption is controlledbecause of the immense use of online services.Nowthe officer is busy in Ramazan festival arrangements. That’s the reason he is endorsed as ‘Jai ho’.

Just WatchA team of the officers visited US & UK to study

the surveillance system in place in cities like Wash-ington DC and London. The Hyderabad Police ChiefM.Mahendar Reddy already took a step ahead ininstalling the CCTV cameras around the city.We wantto endorse that after the trip the officer will definitelygo for implementation, whichever is needed for citypolice. That's why we said to watch the new additionsfrom the officer, who is very particular.

FirstThe cool cop B.Malla Reddy, who is promoted to rank

of IG is posted as Managing Director of newly-formedTelangana State Police Housing Corporation. As till nowDG rank officer held the post, but now this post is scaleddown to IG rank. So, Mr.Reddy will be the first MD of theCorporation.Mr.Reddy is a very soft & a sincere officer.

In Khajuraho, foreign tourist footfall decreasesOver the last decade the temple

town of Khajuraho in Madhya Pradeshhas seen a gradual increase in thenumber of Indian tourists visiting theworld heritage site. But the number offoreign visitors has been steadily de-clining from the peak registered a fewyears back. In 2006, only 1.64 lakh In-dian tourists visited these temples. Butin 2015, the number rose to 2.79 lakh.On the other hand, the number of for-eign tourists declined from 73,843 in

2006 to 65,034 in 2015. The best seasons in the recent past in terms of foreign tourists were2011 and 2012, when nearly one lakh each year visited the small town of 30,000 people inChhatarpur district. Interestingly, Khajuraho, which depends solely on tourism and has starhotels and eateries specialising in foreign cuisines, is not celebrating the growing number ofIndian tourists. “We cater only to those who spend at least a night here as tourists, not thosewho travel from nearby places carrying their food and water and buy nothing,’’ said AnujShukla, a member of the Dharohar Guide Association, who recently hosted Nobel Prizewinner Kailash Satyarthi. Many cited poor air connectivity and bad press over harassment offoreign tourists as factors that have hit business. “I am hosting Japanese tourists after a gapof six months,’’ said Raj Kishore Tiwari, a government-approved guide.

15 per cent as compared to last year, boosted by e-Visas and a wide range of marketingcampaigns carried out in the region. This year, some 900,000 touristsfrom the region are expected to visit India.

Suman promoted India's tourism sector across seven of the 10 countries in the Associa-tion of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) region last year. He plans to expand the promo-tional activities and campaigns to Cambodia, Laos and Bruneinfrom this year, completing theentire markets in the grouping. "We have a wide range of promotional programmes in theASEA region, through media and television network, as well as public buses which areespecially painted with Indian tourist attractions," he said. Suman has an elaborate Indiantourist destinations programmes, saying he is bullish on the ASEAN tourists and aims tomaintain a strong double-digit annual growth in traffic flow.

ADDIS ABABA: In a bid to renew itshistorical and cultural ties with India andboost its economy through tourism, Ethio-pia has launched efforts to woo Indians, who otherwise come to the archaeolo-gically-rich country only for business pur-poses. "India has a lot of potential. We havemany common things with India includingcultural and political. We have to explore it

and start working to get more Indian tourists to Ethiopia,"Solomon Tadesse , CEO, EthiopianTourism Organisation said.
