Performance A light-touch trigger activates an air valve in the handgun handle, providinginstant material flow. The ball and seat design assures clean cutoff at thenozzle.

Design Flexibility FP900 adhesive dispensing modules permit exceptional control of swirldensity without overspray. FP900 handguns can easily be converted fromswirl to extrusion application. Refer to Parts for swirl nozzle adapter kits andfor extrusion nozzle kits.

FP900 handguns have an auxiliary guide handle that permits two-handeduse for further control. The auxiliary guide handle can be positioned foreither left- or right-handed use. The module can be positioned to applymaterial either vertically or horizontally.

An air supply line connects to FP900 handguns through an air pressureregulator, eliminating the need for an air control kit.

Nozzle Selection Swirl nozzles are single-piece assemblies consisting of a retainer nut and awide pattern swirl disk. The swirl nozzle’s recessed tip protects the nozzlefrom damage that can be caused by tools or by dropping the nozzle. Theswirl nozzle is easier to clean but can be damaged if it is installedincorrectly.

Extrusion nozzles provide for the direct application of material withoutatomization of the material.

Factors that determine nozzle size include:

Material viscosity Application deposition Pattern width

Wide pattern swirl and extrusion nozzles are available in 0.035 in., 0.040 in.,0.049 in., and 0.055 in. orifice sizes.
