UPCOMING SCHEDULE

July 28 — August 12, 2018

1st Reading: Exodus 16:2—4, 12—15

In the desert the Israelites grumbled against Moses because they were hungry. The Lord sent down quail and bread for them to eat. By this, Israel came to know the Lord.

2nd Reading: Ephesians 4:17, 20—24 Paul told the Ephesians they could not continue to live

as pagans did. As followers of Christ they were to lay aside their old selves and “put on the new self, created in God’s way of righteousness and holiness of truth.”

Gospel: John 6:24—35 The crowd followed Jesus to Capernaum because he had given them bread to eat. Jesus told them instead to seek the food of

eternal life. He said the he is “the bread of life.”

—For Catholics, it may renew or enhance Catholic fellowship and allow for recommitment to work in the Lord’s vineyard.

—For the non-Catholic and those of non-Christian or no faith, it is an invitation to more fully understand the Catholic faith.
