F racking is a dangerous form of oil and gas extraction that involves pumping vast

amounts of water and toxic chemicals deep in to the earth to break apart shale rock. Oil companies are buying up leases throughout central California, hoping to use new frack-ing technologies to make major profits at the expense of California’s water, land and air.
