A G E Y. A.Lucie Fidlerová

Lucie Fidlerová was born in Brno in 1999 , but since she was 2 years old she has lived in Kladno, along with her parents, a younger sister and a lot of pets. She started to write as soon as she learned her alphabet in school, and began to glue two-page paper books, thinking that one day they would become bestsellers! She started writing more actively when she learnt how to type capitals on the computer keyboard. When she was twelve, she became a passionate blogger, but despite her growing success in this fi eld she realized that one day she wanted to publish her own book.

BORN AT MIDNIGHT – DRAGON SIGN

Hidden in the mountains and far from civilisation, there is a mysterious and beautiful place – the Dragon Rocks. A kingdom where people, elves, dwarves and dragons live together… Gabriel was born exactly at midnight on Friday, the 13th. It predestined him to become a warlock - someone able to treat people, use magic and summon dragons, someone who might become the King of Dragon Rocks. However, the beautiful Melissa, who has become used to being Queen, does not like this idea and she certainly does not intend to give up her position! How far is she willing to go? Strange deaths, intrigues and magic are beginning to threaten the once quiet and idyllic location. Gabriel and his friend Nely embark on a great adventure. Will they reveal just who is pulling the strings? It will not be easy, and not everyone is who they seem to be. Gabriel, Nely and perhaps the entire Dragon Rocks are in danger …

OUR BESTSELLER

Kristina Hlaváčková

Kristina Hlaváčková was born in 1979 in Prague, but spent part of her childhood with her family in Nigeria. She started writing very early, but it was some time before she began writing seriously. In high school she won a scholarship to the U.S., where she found her way to one of her life’s loves - ceramics. Now she is working as a translator with the ČVUT and returned to study at Charles University. In the past she translated series subtitles for MTV and texts for a prestigious Chinese architectural magazine.

DRAGON EYES – WITCH

Learning how to dance, sew and be pretty? It’s of no interest to Princess Elena. She wants to fight alongside her brothers and experience great adventures. Before she knows it, her dream starts to become reality. Her fateful meeting with a red dragon Ašrak changes the little princess´s life. She must leave her home and go to the elves in a magical forest, where her principle task is to learn to control and hide the magic that runs in her veins. But this is not a normal school for young ladies … Can Elena face all the changes and the pitfalls of fate that await her? With the help of a young dragon Charlika and a quirky friend Michael she will not be alone. But will this be enough, not just for her, but also for the future of the whole world?

A G E Y. A.Kateřina Petrusová

Kateřina Petrusová was born in 1982 in Pardubice. She wrote her fi rst two short stories at the age of fourteen. Her next stories came about three years later, when she took part in writing competitions. Following that, her writing was again kept on hold until she met with a group of equally enthusiastic novice authors. Then there was no holding her back and soon her fi rst novel and (subsequently) best seller entitled Dangerous Love appeared.

THE DANGEROUS LOVE

Thanks to a letter of recommendation from her last employer, Paige, a young nurse living in New York, gets a job in a family of rich entrepreneurs of Italian origin, the Bavettis. Her job is to take care of their son Michael, a young man who has mentally returned into his childhood years after a car accident. Gradually, Paige finds her way to become friends with him and Michael takes a liking to her. Gradually, Paige finds herself in the middle of the New York underworld and her employers are members of the Mafia. What will happen when Michael regains consciousness? Will Paige be able to escape the Family now that she knows about their secret?

Format 128×196 mm, 376 pages, laminated hardback

THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY / DANGEROUS LOVE 2

Debts must be paid. Even ex-policewoman Joan, who has an obligation to the king of the drug underworld himself, knows that. He now wants to be paid back and as insurance kidnaps Joan’s little daughter Amy. Will Joan manage to kill Robert Bavett, one of the leaders of the Italian Mafia, and get her daughter back? Or is there another way to save Amy?

Format 128×196 mm, 360 pages, laminated hardback

FORBIDDEN ATTRAC TION

Senator’s daughter Emily is tired of life in the greenhouse and secretly travels to New York. Soon, however, she is traced and must make a choice: either return home, or remain in New York, under the watchful eye of an inscrutable bodyguard Henry Trovat. Emily is determined to persuade Henry to let her be, but everything starts to get complicated as their feelings for each other grow and an awesome Christmas present is sent to her by an unknown madman. Will the love of two people so different in age and social rank overcome the danger that threatens Emily, not to mention the spectre of Henry’s criminal past?

BAREFOOT ACROSS THE FIELD

This is neither a chronicle of my childhood nor of my family. I wanted it to be a work of fiction. The authors of such literature not only remember what they saw or heard but also make things up and fantasise, so that their stories are worth reading.

In this book I am telling the story of a little boy, moved from a big city to the country and how it affected his soul. It is both me and not me. The book is a mosaic in which some stones are real and some are just fake. However, you should not be able to tell which is which.
