Bold, clear text to complement the non-diegetic sound heard and to make it clear and stand out.

Raises narrative enigmas of identity and builds mystery - common in horror films as it

continues to make the audience think

Shadows and darkness connote mystery and the idea of secrecy - a key convention of this genre as it makes the audience question the things that are hidden.

Text is distorted, ripped, burnt; to influence the

tone of hidden identity or mystery in the

introduction - also establishes the common tone held in many horror

films.

Same visual letters for continuity purposes and

makes the audience wonder of the significance of some symbols or letters, as in the

letter 'o'.Clearly establishing darktones within the introduction. Dramaticas it makes the audiencecuriosity arise.

Progression of almost a raging type of atmosphere kicks in towards the end which is done by fire, broken

glass, and photo's of younger children being burnt. This raises questions to the audience as to who they

are and why this is.
