TRANSCRIPT

Francesco was born the 27th January 1992. Since he was a kid he has always been guided by the passion for mechanics and the love for sports the his dad passed on to him, in particular for motorcycles.

From when he was really young he would always follow races with his dad Roberto and his uncle, Fabrizio; he knew all of the rider’s names, the tracks and the bikes from the world cham-pionship. When he would see bikes going pass, it was like living a dream for him, he would get lost in the colours, smells, vibra-tions and the indescribable emotions of the races.

When he would not follow races he would always ride his bicycle round Rome or through the park, all his friends knew him for that, but only one thing he never managed to do: motorcycle races.

After various attempts of persuasion and prayers, at the age of 17, his dad gave him the opportunity to get on a motorcycle for the first time, during a race week-end in Vallelunga on a Kawasaki 250.

Initially he was completely lost, still not handling the situation perfectly, but in 2 days, from being last he managed to conclude the race in 12th position. Since he had lots of fun and proofed he could ride he was given a second chance a month later, in Misa-no, where he concluded the race in 9th position.

Since then, a lifelong dream started to become true.IDEN

In 2010, his first complete racing season took place, supported by the FlashMo-tor Racing Team from Pescara, concluding the Kawasaki Junior Trophy in

3rdposition, the “Coppa Italia Challenge” in 3rd with an absolute 11th out of 45 riders. As a first year Francesco was extremely happy, not only for

the development brought to the Kawasaki Supersport, but also for the massive steps made from a technical point of view. Towards

the end of the season, his Team Manager decides to let him have a go on a 600cc during the Bridgestone Champions

Challenge in Vallelunga, where he concludes the race in 3rd position out of 40. Thanks to the results, he earns

a Kawasaki 600 from Kawasaki Italy, with which he takes part in the Kawasaki Ninja Trophy and the

CIV 600 Stock, assisted by the Scuderia Platini from Borgo Manero. The first Champion-

ship ends up in 6th position (out of 25) and 2nd Under 20, while the Italian

Championship Stock 600 finishes with a best result in 21st position

Analysing the situation he was quite happy, considering that after the crash at the start of the season, where he broke his collar bone, he constantly managed to improve himself

throughout the whole season. In 2012 the level gets even higher with the GAS Racing Team from Rimini, taking part once more in the Italian Championship and the Italian

rounds from World Superbikes, concluding the CIV in 21st position with best result 11th, and 19th in World Superbikes Stock 600 class. On a macro scale the sea-

son was positive, considering he proofed he could battle at a world level and achieving the best result ever at a national level. In 2013 an agreement is

reached with the Puntomoto Corse from Arezzo, owned and directed by Luca Scassa. With an MV Agusta F3, he takes part once more

in the Italian Championship ending in 22nd position out of 40, with a best starting position in 15th position, and best result

in a race in 15th position and more rounds concluded in the scoring range. He also took part in the World

Superbike’s support class “Coppa dei due paesi”, conclusing in 10th position.

2013 has probably been the most important year of all, considering that thanks to the directions of his team manager, he mana-ged to improve his working method during week-ends, during his winter training, but especially in developing a bike that for the first time it was brought on track in that specification.

Francesco does not only race in his own country; the World level experiences have been a great learning school for him. The level did not surprise him at all, considering that a good amount of riders took part also in the Italian Cham-pionship; the thing that he enjoyed most was to compare himself with riders from other countries and continents, observe different riding styles, and espe-cially proof that he could battle at a World level.

In 2011 Francesco moves to UK to study Motorcycle Engineering in the Swan-sea University. Once there he takes part also in the University’s Motorcycle team: Team V4 Racing. Once in this team they take part in the national cham-pionship BMCRC in the Formula 400 Class. Since from the beginning France-sco shows that he can be extremely competitive also in the tracks he did not know, achieving 31st places in the first 3 races of the championship.

Because of the commitments in Italy he can’t battle for the whole champion-ship, but every time he would go to races he would manage to gain attention from everyone: Mechanics, spectators, commentators and journalists, achie-ving as a consequence the trophy “rider of the year 2013”.

Other than just taking care of his person, of the athletic training and focu-sing on races, Francesco is aware of how important and powerful is the sponsorship system in the Motorcycle Racing world. It is renowned that Motorsport is followed all around the world. It has always been matched to brands and sponsors, and it supplies a visibility hard to gain in other sec-tors and sports, associated to the performance and success of a rider. The partnership of companies with teams in the motorsport pushes brands and businesses towards new markets and customers. The international inte-rest for this sport and the presence of spectators allows it to be an excellent stage to promote brands, products, businesses or enterprise. This is a pro-motion that Francesco can definitely offer through his presence in national and international tracks but also through social networks.

The availability of social networks represents a possibility for sponsors and associated brands to be visible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, supplying a coverage and accessibility with no borders or limits. This method of sharing guarantees in a free way the access to millions of potential customers. Con-tents and promotions of companies and the same time can take advantage of this powerful tool, ready to be used in any moment, since from the mo-ment in which the brands reaches an agreement with the rider. Associating your logo to a rider, that exposes himself to an international level, can mean a massive growth, especially if matched to a young figure, healthy and ex-tremely focused on what he does. The internationality of Francesco guaran-tees a global communication, also thanks to his perfect knowledge in the English language, so to share results, summaries and news other than just in Italian, also in the most commonly spoken language in the world.

PaDDOCK’S LIfE

Francesco has always had this feature of mana-ging to communicate and socialize easily in all

kind of situations with anyone. During the past years he has built up many relationships and

has always been present during pit-walks of the various championships, representing the bran-

ds associated to him in front of the visitors and spectators on track. Thanks to his availability,

more times he has been contacted for written and video interviews, transmitting always his

simplicity and dedication to races, associated to the grit and hunger of success. This grit and

hunger of success are simply driven by one fac-tor, the love, feeling, excitement and infinite pas-

sion for bikes and for racing world especially.

SPONSOrFor Francesco a sponsor and an ima-ge to associate to himself is extremely important for various reasons. First of all it brings him to race to a higher le-vel, but most of all it majorly motivates him, causing the will of coming back home with results to show to who be-lieved and in invested in him, to grow.

The European Stock 1000 takes part during the European rounds of the World Superbikes, and in 2014 it will be composed by 7 rounds. It has always been an excellent road towards the world classes, especially because of the youngsters (under 26) that race in it. Although it’s a “stock” class, what makes this cham-pionship one of the main classes of the “pure motorsport”, this class gives life to high level competitions and an extremely professional context.
