HYDROHROM company supplies complete electro-mechanical equipment for small hydro power plants, including electrical panels and control systems (PLCs). High voltage part in standard execution includes All grid protections in accordance with EU-IEC/CSN standards. The basic construction solution and hydraulic design of HYDROHROM Francis HHF turbines were developed in clos cooperation with the Technical University of Brno (ÈVUT Department of Water-Powered Machines). The desig is also based on up-to-date and proven in practice hydraulic profiles and construction solutions, which in connection with the latest technology, especially casting techniques, provide HYDROHROM Francis HHF turbines with top performance parameters and high efficiency. The complete Francis turbine series of dimensional modifications of runner diameters from 300 to 1000 mm, while using several types of blades, is available. Thanks these features, it is always possible to design a turbinegenerator set so that the turbine is directly connected to the generator using an axial multiple-disk clutch. The design enables either vertical or horizontal shaft arrangement. Modern elements and materials are used, while the mechanical part of the machine is still of traditional and proven construction. The runner wheel is manufactured using precision casting technology and a digitally processed pattern created using CNC technology. The runner is cast as one compact casting piece, and made of special alloy stainless steel with high mechanical, chemical, anti-corrosive and especially cavitation resistance. The runner wheel is situated in a spiral casing which is manufactured as a very rigid segmented weldment. The guide vanes can be fully regulated, and also serve as an operating closure of the turbine. The guide wheel vanes are made of the same material as the runner, and are machined in a CNC centre using a digital pattern. The turbine rotor is supported by antifriction bearings with a circulating lubrication system, respectively with oil charge. The bearing areas are safely separated from the area of the water by means of packing seal; this design solution ensures that the lubricant cannot leak into the water. The turbine control system is driven by a hydraulic unit and servo-cylinder. All components of the hydraulic system are situated outside the water areas of the turbine, thus maximum protection against possible pollution of the water running through the turbine is ensured. The design of the HYDROHROM Francis HHF turbine series provides, apart from high efficiency and cavitation resistance, also long dependability and in particular, a high level of environmental protection.     FRANCIS HYDRO TURBINES

    HYDROHROM Francis HHF turbines are designed for 20 to 120 m effective heads and for 200 to 5000 l/s discharges.

    The basic construction solution and hydraulic design of HYDROHROM Francis HHF turbines were developed in closcooperation with the Technical University of Brno (VUT Department of Water-Powered Machines).
