Diary Welcome to Week 8 of Term 4. Not long to go now. We only have 3 more weeks in which
to make a real difference to the growth of our kids! I could not be happier with the devel-
opment of our students this year. Academically, socially, physically and emotionally they
have all set a real bench mark for other cohorts to strive for in the years to come.
Friday the 15th December will be our last day. Staff have completed over 15 hours of pro-
fessional learning throughout this semester so they will not be required to attend the 2
School Development Days on the 18th and 19th of December. Students do not attend on
these days so this will not impact on our families in any way.
Our Choir headed down to the View Club on Monday to perform. Mrs Daley and the sing-
ers have been practicing during their lunch and recess times and I am sure that the View
Club members enjoyed the treat.
Our Swim Scheme started this week. Mr Heward and Cass will be walking 18 students to
the local pool after lunch each day to develop their swimming skills. This opportunity is
designed to support those students who cannot swim or keep afloat when they are out of
their depth. With summer upon us and the holidays fast approaching, the importance of
this scheme is more than obvious. I reckon the kids will also have a great time!
After having Shantalah, Deklan, Danny, Jasmine and Renee join us for work experience last
week, we welcome Chloe, Dylan and Jye this week. I am sure that the NHHS students will
enjoy their experience and hopefully they will come to see what a great career teaching
can be! I know that each and every one of them could be an incredible teacher and hope
that we can have them back in the community working with our kids as soon as possible!
Miss Wesley is away this week. Mrs Parkins will again be on 65W. It was pleasing to note
that 2 of our parents, when surveyed, recognised the importance of having a teacher who
the kids know, and who knows the kids, replacing the regular teacher when they are sick
or away.
This Wednesday our senior students will be holding the Mini Fete Clearance Sale. All items
are half price. The stall will be set up in the Quad at lunchtime for those students who
wish to bring along some money and get some last minute bargains.
Thursday is our final High School Transition Day for our Year 6 students. The students go
directly to the high school in the morning and are there all day. I am sure that they will
have a great time as they prepare for this exciting step next year.
Friday is our Family Fun Night and the kids have some wonderful entertainment in store
