Frankies Café, located within Frankston South Community and Recreation Centre, will deliver a 6-week Adult, Community and Further Education funded barista program.

The class will consist of between 6 to 8 people, and will be delivered by a trainer/youth worker.

Coffee Creators is a practical Barista course designed to prepare people for work or training in the Hospitality industry.

Under the direction of industry professional trainers, participants will learn to create different coffees that are commonly served in cafes around Australia, and necessities such as grinding techniques, milk texturing and much more.

Upon successful completion of this training, participants may pathway into employment lead-ins, and may obtain

positions available via links to our employer networks and programs.

Training includes:

Learning about the history of coffee

Preparing a range of espresso coffees

Texturing milk correctly

Coffee machine operation

How to make each coffee on the menu

Coffee presentation

Using and setting the coffee grinder

Cleaning and maintenance of equipment

Industry guest speakers and industry visits

Job readiness, and pathways into work
