Monday 27 October 2014 Edition 34 Week 4 Term 3
Term 4 is proving to be a busy term all ready.
REMINDER - This week the school is invited to the McAuley
performance at the Montreal on Wednesday. Students are asked
to pay $4.50 for the event to cover the entry and the bus.
Swim school note went home last week. This is a program which
targets students from year 2-6 who cannot swim 25m confidently. The program aims at developing students swimming ability so
they can enter events in the 2015 school swimming carnival.
Places are limited so please return notes as soon as possible.
Last Wednesday saw our Year 6 students visit Tumut High School
as part of their transition program. Please ensure Tumut High
now has your enrolment form for 2015.
On Wednesday of this week we
welcome our new Kindergarten
students for 2015. This will be
their last formal visit to Franklin
until the following year.
In order to organise classes and teachers for the coming school
year please encourage any new
enrolments who have not already
given their details to the office to
come in and see us. If your child
will not be attending Franklin in
the coming year we would also like to hear from you.
Thank you to all of the parents and friends of Franklin who
attended last week’s Grandparents Day. We always like your
presence in the school.
Last week 1C entertained us at assembly and again it was great to see so many people there. This week 4W will be our hosts.
Ghana Beat My Drum incorporates audience participation, singing,
dancing and drumming to
leave audiences feeling exhilarated and inspired as
well as enlightened in the
ways and culture of Africa
and more particularly Ghana. Jonas teaches students words from the local languages, Ga Tui Mzema and Effutu and
with their newly learnt words Jonas gets the entire
audience participating in traditional call and response songs.

BANDANNA DAY Support young people living with cancer by
buying and wearing a CanTeen bandanna on
Friday 31st of October (National Bandanna Day). The SRC will be selling bandannas and
pens from Monday 27th of October under the
COLA during the first half of lunch. Bandannas cost $4 and pens cost $3 each. This
