"The sabjeot of the hearing was aside known te me. I was warned of the se.

oessity for secrecy on the matter, end I *wore in writing to m tam n secrecy.

It is true that sometime in November 1931 Z aPpreached ROR MAL with

the purpose of sending him to a one-week training course in the vicinity of

WeinheimPergstrasse. This course, however, did not take place as was planned;

so that NUM, being in Neinheim without funds, reported to the local polio.

and had them notiftlme.

About the organisation, by which certain people have been approached and

a few thereof sent to a training course, I will explain the followings

The organisation is not directed against the welfare of the Federal Repub..

lie or the present regime, he aim of the organisation was to have at its die.

poeal people who, because of their occupations and training, could avoid fal-

ling into enemy hands in the event of a Soviet invasion or Communist coup. The

recruited persons, on the contrary, we meant to work in connection with the

Allies who are fighting the Soviets by damaging the enemy thrones acts of slab.

*tag°. The intent of the training courses was to supply the participants with

tactical and technical instruction,

If I am specifically asked in what commission I was acting when I eciaitedff II- 4§§IIF IED AND RELEASED BY

SECRETthe trainees, I will explain thatl was commissioned oy Professor =MAW

MOM I have known Prefossor HOBTTII for about two and one-half years and

have been his friend for some time now. Sin• I have come to know SU1TTI0 as

a "German" in the best sense during our acquaintance, and since I cannot con.

*etre of him having any antig.constitleonal thoughts or dealings, I do not

think it at all possible that any tendencies counter to the welfare of, or

aimed at overthrowing, the State, den be imputed to the above mentioned organ-

isations I myself would not have joined such an organisation because of my

upbringing and military past. Revever, it waS known to me that the Federal

Government did not officially recognise the organisation, but that the organ-

isation

For this reason, absolute secrecy wae demanded, especially in order that no

information might be obtained by the Soviets,

Prom private convereetions with SUCTL, I know that as a refugee he has

not giten up the idea of returning to his hwneland. I also know that he has

at times been embittered by his treatment as a "war arimital" . Despite all

this, MITI, is net the man to consider making our future a stubborn repetition

of the Third Retch,

For MEM to sympathise with rightest radical organisations is just

as incoceivable as a tendency towards the left.

SUBJBOts Abwehr (Counterintelligence) School at Heinheim/Bergetrasse

In Reference Tot Tour Communication Be. 282 of 15 September 1952.

'Inclosed we return the attachments to referenced repert. The follow.

int attitude is taken with regard to the affair.

1. This place (station) has nothing to do with the incident.

There are no stations, sohoole, etc. in the named areas which have any

connection whatever with this station.

2. Of the named persons, Prof. Huottl is known here. There are

several reports that he lives in GA/MISCH or BBROBTBSGAD21. Berly in

October, 1951 he was named a member of the BDJ In the Bavarian area,

apparently In a control function (executive capacity). His subordinate

in BD-matters was a certain Peters.

In lebruary 1.952 it was reported that Huottl, a former Sudeten

German, gyan teacher in Junior High School*, reserve officer of the

former Oseeheelevakian Army, then %men Army, supposed bearer of the

Knights Gross, was active in the Presidium of the *Gorman Youth of the

Nast*, an anticommunist youth organisation. He collaborates with U.S.

authorities and influences the youth to take part in partisan activities

in the event of a Soviet occupation of West Germany. He is supposedly

baying ski huts in the mountains and caching weapons. In July 1952 it

was reported that Huottl was seeking contacts in the circles of the

SuAoton German Sooleties, apparently with an ND background.

3. Sy chance it twosome known that en the night of 13.14 September

1932 the Hessian State government carried out a raid on a *moons Caching

Team of the SDJ which was apparently operating in good standing with U. S.

group*. Also in this connection, a certain MORS was reported, perhaps

identical with the MORS mentioned by this station as being connected with

guettl in October 1951.

4. It is possible that the circles name& in Paragraphs 2 are the

same as these indicated in Paragraph 3.

Comments

This station (stalls) would be thankful for a secure handing of the

enclosed information since it involves people who, though they nay have

chosen an unreasonable course, are nonetheless of a sincere German sentiment

and anti-Soviet attitude.

1. Through an official liason have come additional reports of a

°school* in the vicinity of WeinheimPergetrasse. The reports concern

morose of a 'Duni Ventsoher hone OHUn Group, who have been planning

acts of sabotage in the event of being ever-run by the Soviets, and who

are marrying out the caching ef weapons in cooperation with U. S. service

groups. an the 13th and 114th of September 1.952 a raid was made on the

drew by the Hessian State Government, resulting in numerous arrests.

It is suspected that this action was an SPH attack against the Federal

Government.

2. Presumably, the "American Agents School s mentioned above is

the *Ir. II School" of this BDJ Group. This organisation has nothing

to demith the subject matter. It is therefore re quested that further

investigation (called for in reply #7128 ')b. instigated.
