Eric Latham, MPA, Executive Director of Pathway

• Eric joined UCLA Extension in 2006 as the founding director of Pathway.

• Eric has more than 24 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Eric has a bachelors degree in Sociology and post-graduate studies in Special Education from the University of Oregon.

• He received a masters in Public Administration, with a unique specialization focusing on the administration of programs for populations with disabilities from the University of LaVerne.

Patricia E. Bauer, Parent, Board Member, Journalist

• Patricia has served as senior editor of the LA Times Sunday Magazine; special assistant to the publisher of the Washington Post; reporter and bureau chief at the Washington Post, and pundit on public affairs television in Los Angeles.

• She is a former member of an Institutional Review Board at UCLA, where she participated in the ethical review of federally funded medical research on human subjects, and has addressed national and regional conferences on the rights of patients and people with disabilities.

• Patricia and her husband are among the founders of the Pathway Program . They are the parents of two young adults, one of whom has Down syndrome and is a survivor of leukemia.
