70’s The business was in hardware and the software was andadd-on.

80’s The business interest now in the software, it creates privateslicenses so it can not liberate the knowledge. Then Richard M.Stallman creates the FSF (Free Sofware Foundation) againstthis lost of liberty and create too the GNU Project (GNU isNot UNIX) project to create a Free Operating System.

90’s Linus Torvalds creates the Linux kernel that with the GNUproject can create a Free Operating System.

’00-Today Today the Free Software has grown a lot if we compare it withhis begining.
