Project Aim:

Following a failed criminal raid the owner requested security improvements. In addition, road access / egress improvements, for Heavy Goods Vehicles.

Freelance Project Manager Services included:

∗ Producing a set of Planning drawings incorporating:

∗ Local materials (local flint stones and reclaimed local brick) for the walled entrance.

∗ Recessing bollards to prevent ramming

∗ Remote control swing metal gates with intercom

∗ Road widening using a honeycomb footing to reduce the impact of a larger concrete road.

∗ Landscaping using trees common to the area.

Key Aspects:

Due to the protected area status of the Chiltern Hills strict Country Planning Laws, needed to be overcome by negotiating with the Planning Department and ensuring the proposals sat discreetly within the surroundings by using local designs and materials.
