DESCRIPTION
FreeSpeech is an online application to implement the term "Educational Networking".The term FreeSpeech means “Freedom of Speech” and it is the political right to express or communicate one's opinions and ideas. As in politics, we people in academic community also have the right to express our ideas to public. Educational Networking is derived from the idea of “Social Networking” and “Education”. So, our plan is to provide education through entertainment. Social networking sites have the ability to promote both active learning and collaboration. From authenticated sources, it is clear that almost 85% of the students are active in popular social networking sites to find their way of enjoyment. So why can't we exploit this vulnerability in people for a good cause ? Thoughts behind FreeSpeech started from that question. If students are already investing time and energy in social networking, building relationships and their own communities of shared interests and fostering 21st century skills in the process, there is a unique opportunity to form educational communities of knowledge. So, if students are already using social networking sites, should educators try to secure that captive audience in a space they feel comfortable using? FreeSpeech is just that!! It is an online application that anyone can use for educational purpose through entertainment mode. It provides a forum for extending the traditional classroom and enabling users to join groups that match individual educational interests. FreeSpeech includes various ways of users interaction such as group chat, private chat, email, video sharing, file sharing, discussion groups, BlackBoard (for users to ask doubts among groups), open question forum, games, online events, competitions, wikis etc.....TRANSCRIPT

• One of the most useful tools in upper primary has been word clouds (wordle), which is used for all manner of learning, such as reflections, analysing websites and summaries. Its visual appeal and graphic organisational structure has made it a really useful tool. Students have been turning written reflections, information reports and web sites into word clouds, which allows them to see patterns, comparisons and hierarchies, in a new and attractive way.
