Dear Members,

If you have been at the Club in the last two weeks, you have seen that the parking lot has been under construction. Another sinkhole appeared and is being fixed.

The Greens are being aerified and seeded, and will be sanded. It will take a couple of weeks of recov-ery, but the weather looks like it will cooperate. The Grounds Crew is working hard to keep the course in great shape for fall golf. Soon the leaves will start falling, making their job that much more difficult. Lets all remember how much is on their plate and how hard they work, so we can enjoy a great course.

Remember the Club for any Holiday parties you might be having. Contact Jennifer for available dates.

See you on the Tee,

The Greens Section

Dear FCC Members,

I know everyone continues to have concern for the condition of our greens. It has been a brutal year for

weather and growing grass. The problem that occurred and steps we will take to try and avoid this prob-

lem again will be sent out to you in a separate letter. We just completed greens aerificartion and the bad

spots have been seeded. Fairways, tees, collars, and approaches will all be aerified the first few weeks of

the month. Originally aerification and seeding was supposed to happen Labor day, but because of the

extreme heat followed by two weeks of wet conditions, we had to push it back until weather cooperat-

ed. That is why you still see the bad spots today. I take pride in my work

and work hard day in and day out with what I have to work with to try

and give you the best course around. It hurts me more then you know to

see the greens like they are. We cannot control Mother Nature but will

continue to fight hard to beat her. Thank you for your patience this year

and we will get better. See you on the course.

Matt Young,

GCSAA

Starting Tuesday, October 9th the Kitchen will be closed on Tuesday and Thursday evenings due to low turnouts. The Club will be open for dinner service on Wednesday, Friday and Sat-urday evenings through the Fall and Winter months. The board has decided to close the kitch-en on these days to try and save money where we can, to keep us fiscally sound for 2018. To better help staffing the Clubhouse, we would greatly appreciate members calling ahead with reservations at any time you plan to dine here at Fremont Country Club, that way the Kitchen Staff and Wait staff can have everything ready for the members who are dining. On another note, if there is a special occasion, birthday, have guest visiting or just simply would like to have something different than what is on the menu, whether it be Steaks, Duck, Lamb, etc. Please contact Brian several days in advance, he will accommodate your needs to the best to his ability. We’ve had several members that have taken advantage of this great service and have enjoyed many special evenings with smaller groups.

Golf Shop News

❝Attitude will always win out on ability. ❞ —Dr. Bob Rotella

It’s hard to believe that it’s that time of year when it starts to cool down and the leaves are changing

colors. I want to take this time to thank all of you for your support of Fremont Country Club and

myself as your golf professional. I want to thank all of you who participated in our events through-

out the year. The goal of the tournament program is to offer a mix of fun and competitive events. I

am always looking for new events to mix in with our current tournament schedule, so if you have

an idea, stop in and share it with me. Don’t forget that your golf shop credit will expire on Decem-

ber 15th, so stop in the shop and spend your winnings before it’s too late. If you would like to know

how much credit you have on the books, stop into the golf shop and we can look it up for you. We

currently have our Fall Sale going on that will run through the end of the month. Enjoy the beauti-

ful Fall weather, and I hope to see you out at the club soon!

I would like to congratulate the winners of Major events here at Fremont Country Club.
