Lisa Victoria is a world renowned sculpture of angelsthat can be found in private collections across theworld! She combines metals like bronze, silver and gold,in conjunction with a carving technique, that creates a reality in every detail.

Lisa started creating angels after she was diagnosedwith ovarian cancer and was told she had 6 months to live. Before her cancer, she hadnever sculpted and nor did she have the ability to. She literally woke up one morningand told her husband that she had to sculpt angels. It was from there, that she beganto share her talent through her angels. Lisa always feels the message, before the poseof the angel, then just starts right in elbows deep.

Every angel brings it’s own unique message, such as; Perseverance, Faith, and the latest, Hope; that was donated to the NFL sponsored St. Jude’s Benefit, raising over$25,000 for her favorite charity.

Lisa started the Gallery because she felt local artists needed a place on Royal Street to be able to not only display their art, but create it in front of people through interaction. "It’s art that is done through a way that develops a true appreciation forthe talent it takes to create," she says.

The Lisa Victoria Gallery, located at 616 Royal Street, provides a magnificent place whereartists are encouraged to share their art with the rest of the world and inspire thosewho come in. “Upon leaving, they know that this place they just left is magical and unique”, says local artist Danny Delancy. It affords them the opportunity totake a real piece of New Orleans with them.

Lisa represents over 25 local artists whom all come and create in the gallery at varioustimes. Every person that buys a piece of art meets the artist that created it.

Lisa is also developing a youth program within the gallery to benefit St Jude’s. She’screating a place where local LA youth can place their art for sale with a portion ofthe proceeds going to St. Jude’s. “It keeps our youth focused on their art and helpschildren in need at the same time,” says Lisa.

Not only was FrenchQuarter Artist Craig Tracyborn and raised in NewOrleans, he is also one of the most creative personalities you will evermeet.

He lives and works in theFrench Quarter and he usually spends the majority of his afternoons casuallymeeting and greeting those that admire and collect his enig-matic works. "My gallery acts as an informal annex to my livingroom and Studio" states the artist in a recent interview. "I loveconnecting with people and sharing what I do."

The Craig Tracy Gallery, located at 827 Royal Street, has just celebrated it's seventh birthday and if you know your historyand math you'll know that Tracy's was one of the first galleriesopened just after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Being apart of the "rebirth" of the New Orleans creative and business scene meant taking substantial risks, but for an artistsuch as Tracy, risks are all just par for the course.

His gallery is the very first in the world dedicated to the fineart of bodypainting and without a doubt it is now a substantialcultural must see while visiting the French Quarter. If you loveart and creativity, you'll not want to miss your chance to visithis gallery and perhaps take a piece home from a real NewOrleans original.
