How to Measure Lamp Shades

1. Top Diameter (in inches). Place shade on flat surface. Top diameter is the measurement across top of the shade. 1.

2. Bottom Diameter (in inches). Turn shade upside down and measure across the bottom. 2.

3. Side Height. Measure the actual outside surface of side of the shade from top to bottom. 3.

4. Holder Drop. Place the shade upside down on a flat surface. Measure distance from flat surface to holder drop. 4.
