When something so small can become so big:

“I was thinking that we are just starting off, stepping into influence,

the difference that we can make. We just have a little say, but as time

goes on I’m sure FRESH will grow. We have had a few meetings with

the food service director of New London Public Schools. We are

helping with the garden and creating new gardens in other places,

getting kids to know how things happen, from seed to plate.

I was thinking of this like a plant. We will start as a seeds, but with

time we will grow into something bigger and more beautiful. Plants

need water; we need support. If you take care of a plant, it will have a

better chance to thrive. If you add compost it will grow stronger. Like

a plant, we need help. We will still grow without support, but we will

be stronger if we get your support.

After we become big plants, we will produce more seeds

and produce more change.”
