The PSAT/NMSQT stands for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.  This is a test that provides juniors the chance to enter National Merit Scholarship Corporation Scholarship programs. This test also prepares students to take the SAT, an admissions requirement for most colleges and universities. Freshmen and sophomores may take the PSAT but they are not eligible for the National Merit Scholarship Competition until they take it in their junior year.  This year all freshmen at NAHS will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday October 16th. Study guides will be distributed to students during homeroom for review. Get details about the PSAT at http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/psat/about.html
