• You will learn about who Frida & Zorro are shortly. Meanwhile, follow these directions:

• Frida & Zorro are meeting for the first time. Plan out an introductory conversation between them. Write a rough draft on your own paper BEFORE writing in the bubbles. You will not be given a second copy.

• Include: greetings, introductions (names), nice to meet you phrases, “how are you” questions and answers, and farewells

• Use all the bubbles. It’s okay to write more than one sentence per bubble. This is to be done individually and for a grade.

Frida Kahlo (born Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón;[2] July 6, 1907 – July 13, 1954) was an

internationally popular Mexican painter.[3] She painted using vibrant colors in a style that was influenced by

indigenous cultures of Mexico and European influences including Realism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. Many of her works are self-portraits that symbolically articulate her own pain and sexuality. Kahlo was married to Mexican muralist

Diego Rivera.

• Zorro (originally called Señor Zorro) is a fictional character created in 1919 by pulp writer Johnston McCulley. He has been featured in several books, films, television series, and other media.

• Zorro (Spanish for fox) is the secret identity of Don Diego de la Vega (originally Don Diego Vega), a nobleman and master swordsman living in the Spanish colonial era of California. The character has undergone changes through the years, but the typical image of him is a black-clad masked outlaw who defends the people of the land against tyrannical officials and other villains. Not only is he much too cunning and foxlike for the bumbling authorities to catch, but he delights in publicly humiliating those same foes.
